I haven’t fully experienced your mod because I cannot find any active servers available. However there is one thing you need to focus on which is a GUI.

Having the mod plain like that (i.e.: once opening the game you’re prompted to input a server’s ip) is no good and puts me off. The most basic yet efficient thing you can do is adding useful options such as:

  • Server browser
  • Favorite servers
  • Sorting

Not as a window like the current one but instead as an interface that rhymes with the game, refer to the chat mod UI and get an idea of the design.

I’ll comment if I have any other thing in mind.

We’ve got 7 8 9 10 players at Killertoad’s server (gdt.plethorastudios.com) right now… and the screen is getting cluttered (will fix that in a future update) :slight_smile:

This is one annoying bug:

The player list keeps expanding the more players join and leave, I can’t send my employee to a vacation because the list is blocking him.

  • Competitors are now sorted by cash
  • Reviews from other players are now logged
  • Find out when someone creates a new game engine (requires spying research)
  • Added update checking
  • Reduced advanced spying research RP cost from 80 to 60
  • Reduced sabotage research RP cost from 100 to 80
  • Halved advanced spying costs
  • Slightly tweaked trade dialog
  • Fixed 0% marketshare (again)
  • Fixed duplicate competitor consoles
  • Fixed chat hotkey conflicting with ChatMod (will only activate if ChatMod textbox isn’t focused or by pressing Ctrl+T)
  • Fixed spying research not having any effect
  • Fixed failed advanced spying reports being sent to everyone
  • Fixed money sent to other players being much more than it’s supposed to be
  • Fixed player list not getting smaller
  • Fixed “name” error popping up when someone releases a game while the “game concept” dialog is shown
  • Fixed “length” error popping up every few seconds

Already fixed in 0.2.3, which will be released tomorrow if I have the time to finish it.

Can’t find the “server” files on nexus mods? It still has the last version listed.

They’re back up now. I took them down to fix a tiny bug.
