[WIP] GDTMP - Multiplayer Mod [Client 0.5.11, Server 1.5.5.0] (Now in 10 languages!)

It’s still going to be console based, but the commands are pretty simple.

Client 0.2.0

  • Added trading research (available early in the game, click CEO to trade)
  • You can now develop games for other players’ platforms! License/development costs are sent to the console developer
  • Game scores are sent to the other players, for pleasure or anger
  • “Operators” can use “/commands”
  • Advanced spying and sabotage don’t cost money to research anymore
  • Sabotage RP cost raised from 80 to 100
  • Maximum chat message length further increased, from 100 to 120 characters
  • Fixed GDTMP save data not loading
  • Compatibility with server 1.2.0.0
  • And a few other minor changes and optimizations I forgot…

Server 1.2.0.0

  • Added a few basic settings (cheat mod allowed, client timeout)
  • “Exit” command added, required to save settings
  • “Set” command added, to modify settings
  • “Op” and “deop” commands added, to give players access to server commands
  • Messages from in-game players are now displayed in the console
  • REQUIRES CLIENT 0.2.0!

UPDATE: @Darkly,

Step 1. I Did, Step 2 I Did, Step 3 port forward 3966 TCP… now i’m a little confused

When i run the program with GDT What ip address i post to put in 108.xxx.etc which is my public ip
or my local ip 192.xxx.

And What does my friend use if he wants to play with me over ‘INTERNET’.

@DragonMysterio Public IP if you want people to be able to join - without the port, also. If you give them your public IP with the port (xxx.xxx.xx.xx:3966) then he/she won’t be able to join.

Your friend will use your public ip. Unless you’re using hamichi, or some other tunneling program… then he will use the up it gives you. Just remember the port at the end of the up…

Ok so on my end i type in my public ip without the port - correct?

and then my friend uses my public ip same one i used - correct?

If that is right? And i’m doing all the stuff correctly why does it say

LOST CONNECTION TO SERVER, Then It closes the game automatically.

You need to type in “localhost” while having the server on

@Darkly would you mind creating a separate GDTMP - Serverlist topic and link to it from the description. It would be good if we can have one space for players to look for a server.

Will do, I’m actually working on a website where you can check the status of a server, which I’ll put up ASAP.
