MMO Meltdown. Top this, if you dare. I set out to see if unobtainium was attainable inside of the scoring time frame (35 years). It is

I reckon you leveraged the fans of your MMOs to sell this? Itā€™s gonna be hard getting 50M fans without those. Nice job, though.

Yep, it was the only way I could think of that unobtainium was even possible. I didnā€™t think it could be done inside the 35 year game time though - just figured Iā€™d give it a try. If I missed I was going to keep playing and use the MMOs for even more fansā€¦ though id have had a job getting another 9.5+ game out, probably would have needed a fluke trend match.

Project 150 got there this time. KAOS Inc, with 11.2M fans driving a 153,914,196.39 score (no MMO).

Happily, ā€œTwilight Sucksā€ - a 9.75 Vampire Action-RPG for the custom console - was my best seller and most profitable game.

My best one is 60,000,000 with 30 years time
create RPG-Adventure non-stop
havent research AAA though , lol

new one , 30 years gameplay

41 mil my best so far, but then Iā€™ve only completed it once so far :stuck_out_tongue:

Itā€™s possible for unobtainium to be done without a publisher and without an MMO. I got it alot of times , in the game. The way to get it is have like over 400 million fans ( 30 % of your fans buy the game ) so 120 million people buy the game. I have about 700 million fans in 35 years. So my max units sold is 420 million units. Itā€™s possible with a big fanbase.

If you had 700 million fans at year 35 you would have a score somewhere in the thousands of millionsā€¦ should post a screenshot!

But yeah I got unobtainium with 55M fans after milking the broken MMO code to do that. Iā€™m not sure its even possible to have more than about 10 million fans after 35 years without using MMOs, much less 700 million! If so you know something the rest of us surely dont!

I will soon but canā€™t right now , I have two computers. I have two houses which are 2 hours away. Hopefully today Iā€™ll post the screenshot. I had 2 MMOā€™s but they were really bad and didnā€™t really get much fans. I got fans buy doing alot of AAA games. I was really successful. And I try to avoid MMOā€™s.

This is my final score , Itā€™s my first time going through 30 years of the game without getting bankrupt.

Are you hacking savegames?

Heck no , never hacked the game , yet. I have the save game editor but I canā€™t find out how to use it. So I deleted all the save game editor files. Done with that. Why is there anything that makes me look like Iā€™m cheating?

And now , Iā€™ve been getting into some of those MMOā€™s people keep talking about and now I have approx 400 billion dollars. Number of fans dropped to 649 million because I made a bad game which lost me about 100m fans.

I just ask because I wouldnā€™t have thought it was possible - even with max save game cheating to generate prefect 12.5% increases every game, perfect publishing deals, no mistakes - to have anywhere near 649M fans at year 40, with or without MMOs.

Iā€™ve given the game a fair thrashing - not to the point of save-cheating on that scale, but with some very indepth spreadsheet work - and with 40+ top hits out of 50 games the best MMO-free fan count I have seen has been only a bit over 10 million.

The screenshot you have posted, by my knowledge of game mechanics, simply isnā€™t possible.

after failing 5 or 6 times in level 2, i tried to do it sloooowly, and wasted most of the time in level 1/2, only got about 47m points without any triple a titles and only 2 selfpublished large games, recently got into level 3 and the the game was over (35 years),

but iā€™m glad i had so far made profit on every title, no loss at all, had about 350m cash and my worst rating was 5,25, most of the games had a review score between 7,5 and 9,5, several games with 9,75 but didnā€™t hit the perfect 10, and i failed at the red barrel achievement xD, wild west rpg wasnā€™t that good for the try,

maybe donkey kong?^^

  • spoiler alert

next time iā€™ll try to avoid wasting my time in level 1/2 for too long^^

My Latest high score. One MMO but VERY late in the game (it was my one AAA titleā€¦probably should have just made it a normal game) No custom consoles. Even with specialists, I couldnā€™t, for the life of me, get a perfect 10 game. Lots of 9.75s though.

Focused mostly on Strategy and Simulation games.
This was a standard 30 year game.

Not to offend you , but if itā€™s simply impossible, then I wouldnā€™t be showing it. It was hard to achieve, but I had to fail alot of times.

You posted a score 9 times higher than the next highest posted, which was nearly 3 times higher than the next after it - so excluding me you are proposing to have scored about 25 times the best score ever posted in this thread, and those scores scored by people using spreadsheets and in depth data mining to score a score higher than the game developers thought possible (else the score screen would support displaying scores of 100m+).

So yeah. Short of you posting up some kind of method, I think your 2.6 billion score is flat out impossible to achieve without cheating :frowning:

If your implying iā€™m cheating , you are wrong.I didnā€™t cheat. So just believe my scores and say I am the best GDT player ever. Oh and you know I didnā€™t use wiki at all.
