@Gold: io non sono certificato in alcunché, lo faccio volontariamente e conosco la lingua a sufficienza (credo) per contribuire con i suggerimenti. Se qualcosa non va bene tanto è pubblico e suscettibile a correzioni.
Piuttosto, come ha scritto Charlie qui sopra di me è necessario avere qualcuno che svolga il ruolo di moderatore per revisionare la traduzione ed approvare le singole frasi. Così si può andare avanti…

Ciao ragazzi, mi sono appena iscritto sia al forum che al progetto di traduzione, dopo aver giocato un po’ a Game Dev Tycoon. Ieri sera ho tradotto un po’ di string, ho visto che molti di voi hanno postato dei suggerimenti tutti identici, alla fine non so quanto possa servire. Consiglierei di inserire suggerimenti dove avete idee diverse da quanto già scritto, altrimenti di lasciarle così. Inoltre ho pensato di candidarmi come moderatore per approvare tutte quelle stringhe da una parola che non lasciano dubbi, per snellire la sezione “untraslated string”. Onestamente non mi prendo la responsabilità di una coordinazione globale, anche perche Andy e Vito hanno una competenza in questo e io no, ma magari posso dare una mano con gli aspetti più semplici. Oltretutto loro avranno molto lavoro “retribuito” ed è giusto che diano la precedenza ad esso! Infine pensavo di creare il glossario per i termini più usati, con il vostro aiuto. (esempio che mi è venuto in mente ieri: Game lo traduciamo come Gioco o Videogioco?). Ciao a tutti!
Hi guys, I’m new here, I’ve bought Game Dev Tycoon few days ago on Steam, very nice game. I found this translation project and yesterday evening I began to translate something. Unfortunately I see that there so many short strings well translated (and that fit good in game) that could be approved by a moderator. So we’ll have less “untraslated string” to pass by to find something to suggest. Anyway I started from the end .
More of this, I’ve seen that you guys oversuggested some strings, all suggestions are the same of the others… I think this is just a loss of time, you have to suggest only if you think there’s a different way to translate the string. If you like a translation just pass by.
@Charlie: I would like to be a moderator. I don’t have high grade English Certificate and I have a very poor experience about gaming translation (just translated some strings here and there), but I guess I can manage those little administrative aspects of this translation, so we can let it go on for some aspects and waiting for expert moderators to put the big thing togheter. I would like to create a glossary (obviously with the help of the other italian suggesters) for the main used words, as “Game Points”, “Experience Points”…, I guess only moderators can do it.
Hope that this will enhance everybody to finish this project. It’s big but not huge!

sì l’idea del glossario ci vuole, anche per mantenere una coerenza di fondo con tutte le stringhe che vengono tradotte mano a mano, altrimenti si rischia di diventare confusionari.
Anche capire e attuare delle linee guida su come mantenere il tono fra una traduzione e l’altra (esempio banale: dare del tu o del lei a seconda del pannello informativo) potrebbe aiutarci.
Cosa ne pensano gli altri utenti?

@Vincenzo_Vitale: Ciao Vincenzo, ho visto che oggi ti sei dato da fare, bello spirito, bravo! Comunque ti consiglio di fare suggestions solo quando hai un’idea diversa da quanto già scritto da altri, o concentrarti su parti non ancora tradotte per niente.
So che per trovare una frase non tradotta bisogna andare avanti molto (magari utilizza la scheda “nearby messages” per saltarne 5 alla volta), ma poi una volta raggiunta una pagina non tradotta puoi salvartela nei segnalibri così la volta successiva la trovi subito.
In più cercherò di postare una lista di parole chiave che decideremo come tradurre in tutto il gioco per avere una certa uniformità di traduzione. Purtroppo a una prima occhiata non mi pare che si possa utilizzare la funzione glossario, che sarebbe utilissima: in pratica quando c’è una parola chiave nel testo in inglese la dovrebbe riconoscere e proporre la traduzione “uniformata” decisa da noi, ma non so se funziona.
@Charlie Hi, I’d really like to help in my spare time. I’m Dario, I’m 27 and a (nearly) graduated Management Engineer, and I’ll specialize in Informatics Engineering at Polytechnic of Turin. I’m willing of helping and I’m suggesting already on the translation site. I had few experiences (ex: translating the site of my company in 3 languages but it’s technical translation) so I’m available as a crew member or as moderator just as needed. I can’t bear to have the game in English even though I’m used to it as a second language.
In effetti è difficile. Un esempio è che non so come poter tradurre “war games” se non, come già suggerito, spionaggio o simili nel messaggio decrittato…

It means a moderator is doing something with the translations.
