@Darkly When I released my game my game crashed, but my players didnā€™t. I also didnā€™t see them in the lobby when I joined.

I just released client 0.1.1 to fix your issue with the crashing. Iā€™ll fix everything else tomorrow in 0.1.2.

You can, but I suggest that you wait until Iā€™ve fixed the major bugs (tomorrow)

  1. The game crashes for me after releasing my first game. Only me. (I think you fixed it.)
  2. When I connect to the game. Other players connect I can see them, but they canā€™t see me in the whos online box. But if I reconnect. I canā€™t see them and they can see me.
  3. The amount of fans/money everyone has doesnā€™t reload making it stuck at a certain limit.
    These were the main three I found while playing.
  4. If players start a new game while connected to the server, they are joined as undefined (player)

  1. Maybe add in a new option called ā€˜Start a Franchiseā€™ So for example if I start the Halo franchise. My buds can try and buy it off me, and if they make a game with the same name they get fined or just canā€™t at all make it?

Here are some ideas that could ALSO be added to singleplayer:
-user hosted servers
-2 or more players starting their Game Dev company at the same time
-able to team up/against player
-lawsuits (game/company/console name, stolen code etc.)
-able to see most of the games released along with their companies
-console makers favoritism (example: developing only for nintendo consoles gets you cheaper developing, nitendo invests money in you)

But can you make it where we donā€™t have to port forward? Because on my router, I canā€™t port forward, it supports it, but its very weird, and Iā€™m kind of a noob at it as well.

Can I Join some server :smiley: ? I Want to test it.

Not possible with just a mod, youā€™d have to change the software GDT runs on.

There will be a syncing system in the future. For now, just start a new game at the same time as everyone else.

You will be able to co-develop games/consoles in the future. Currently you can just all sabotage one person.

In what way? Currently a notification appears on your screen when someone releases a game. I may be able to implement a game history window where you can see games made by other companies, if thatā€™s what you mean.

Investing in other playersā€™ companies is a great idea!

No, you have to port forward. The only other way is to use Hamachi, but Iā€™m not familiar with it and itā€™s not very secure.

How do other games get by without port forwarding? And ah yes, hamachi.

Iā€™m pretty sure you canā€™t get a game server to work without port forwarding.
Or do you just want to join a game? You donā€™t have to port forward if you want to join someone elseā€™s game.

I had to port forward twice before my IP was able to host for the public.
