Client 0.4.7

  • Incompatible servers are shown in the browser in red text but you can’t connect to them
  • Fixed “cannot read property data” error
  • Fixed update checking not working properly
  • Fixed time speeding up offline too

Someday, maybe when 1.0.0 is out.

The plan is:
0.5.0 (features) -> 0.5.1, 0.5.2 etc. (bug fixes)
0.6.0 (features) -> 0.6.1, 0.6.2 etc. (bug fixes) -> 1.0.0 (bug fixes)

So there’s not much left :wink:

Well it’s not like it’s possible to have a real anti-cheat system when the server barely checks what the clients are doing :wink:

It was a feature that was supposed to tell you if a server was outdated, but since it only worked with unreleased server versions (1.5.0.0+) it got turned into a bug.

Is it mean to enter servers with cheats and do mass sabotage? Not that I did that or anything… :innocent:

Only seeing 1 server and it isn’t mine? downloaded off nexus.
nm got latest version seemed to fix it.
Getting some weird stuff in console but cant copy and paste from there.

If it’s something related to “System.ObjectDisposedException” or “System.AggregateException”, then you shouldn’t worry. Those messages will be hidden in 1.5.0.0. :slight_smile:

I guess I should post an update since I haven’t done that since last week. I didn’t have much time to work on the 0.5.0 update this week, but it’s more than halfway done. It is also larger than 0.4.0 so it naturally takes more time to finish it. No screenshots today, but a planned changelog:

Client 0.5.0

  • You can now co-develop games with other companies!
  • Compare your scores when the game ends!
  • View detailed information/stats about other players! Use the “i” button just above the top right corner of the server list
  • Advanced spying now lets you get (not take away) topics and researches from other companies if the budget is high enough!
  • Added a chat button next to the info button
  • Smoother dialog animations
  • Improved the way servers are pushed to the history
  • Added “connecting” message
  • Localized previously unlocalized messages
  • Proper localized research names are now displayed in the “X has researched Y” messages
  • Fixed trades/advanced spying/sabotage sometimes executed with the wrong company
  • Fixed kick messages showing up when they shouldn’t
  • Compatibility with server 1.5.0.0

Server 1.5.0.0

  • Added optional server-side saving! Use “set serversidesave [true|false]” to enable/disable in the console, in the GUI you can change it in the settings dialog. This feature is disabled by default
  • Added a more visible message in the GUI when a new version is available, and the window will also flash
  • Made it possible to copy text from the GUI console
  • The console now also displays your local IP address
  • Changed a few messages
  • Disabled “tabbing” in the main form
  • Fixed tabbing in the other forms
  • Fixed kicking players for “poll” when they open the server browser while connected and other bugs related to the server not getting the client ports
  • Fixed “System.AggregateException” errors showing in the GUI console (they will still show in the regular console though)
  • REQUIRES CLIENT 0.5.0 OR LATER

I may also throw in some achievements.

Awesome! TY. The poll thing was the other problem i had with console. practically spamming when people joined.

EDIT:Not on nexus? just looked still 4.8 and 1.4.2?

Hopefully I’ll have it done next week. About the polling thing, yeah I know. I’m going to fix that eventually. Maybe in the next update since you mentioned it. The problem is that I don’t know if I should just hide those messages, set up a seperate poll server, or do something else.
