[Win] Game freezing and backround animations disappearing

Quite often whilst I’m playing the game it freezes for a short time (sometimes crashes completely) and then when it unfreezes there are no animations anymore, the game will continue to run, the menus pop up and the display at the top left remains.(I have a screen shot buy allegedly I’m not allowed to upload pictures yet) I find I can get the animations back by switching from full screen to window mode (and vice versa). I read someone using Ubuntu having the same issue but not with Windows Vista.

I have a similar issue from time to time. My game seems to alternate between doing this, or freezing mid-way through a text box and not progressing at all. Loving this game when I get to play it but that has become less and less frequent.

Any help is appreciated (for either of these issues).

I have the same problems under mac.
