[Win] Game Dev Tycon starting issue [SOLVED]

Tried to find something, others with same issue, but nothing.

Issue: Wanted to test game with higher resolution, so i installed win8 release prewiev, Downloaded game dev tycon today and installed on one of my other PCs. Its Dell XPS All-in-One 2710, All drivers up-to-date. Other apps from store working. After starting GDT comes orange screen with GDT logo (the first screen) and then the application will be closed without any message. Reinstalled GDT, no change,

Any idea, what could be the problem?

Will try later with some other win8 version from MSDN, but i dont think win8 version is the problem here.

I don’t think that the Release Preview is supported for Store apps anymore. I would definitely suggest you try with a normal Windows 8 installation.

in the next 2 days will reinstall OS (Win8 64b Home, MSDN version), will udate soon

ok, so after installing Win8 Home and downloading game again, works. So the problem was really the win8 version (or at least high propably).

Problem solved.

PS: lets see now, if you will offer some paid/non-paid add-on, to make the game interesting for hard core players who already played this game gazilion times.

Good to hear that it works now :slight_smile: We have no plans to develop add-ons at this stage.

One thing i noticed. Today couldn’t start it again and program was closed right after start as before. So wanted to re-install the game. So i connected to internet and right after connection was established, gave it try and worked. (Couldn’t be anything else, restart didn’t help. The computer is still clean, just OS (without any updates), drivers and this game. Will stay this way, have dual boot win8 just because of this game).

just for information if someone else should encounter something similar.
