It would be awesome to have Game Dev Tycoon for consoles.
I would totally buy it and I’m sure a lot of people would too.
Consider this idea, Greenheart Games
What would be the point? Most people having a PS3 probably play games on the PC too. The steam version would be cheaper so they would go for that one instea of the PS3 version… so, what’s the point? Also, Greenheart Games isn’t a very big company.
Why would it be better? Consoles are not desgined for games like this in the first place and as I said before… [quote=“LineLiar, post:3, topic:12381, full:true”]

Also, a strategy development game isnt very good to be played on consoles… I- i mean if you WANT to play it then fine, but i dont really think it’s a really good idea. Plus the extra money that’ll have to be set in for the indie game development and managing… copyright… some stuff to do with sony… and redesigning so it could be played with a dualshock…
@Legopigman101 No, if anything it would run better on the PS4 because it’s more powerful, without optimisation it will probably lag on a XBONE. And because the Xbox one is essentially a Low-mid end gaming PC in a Xbox branded case, they probably won’t be able to do a lot of optimisation.
@GdTfox123 We obviously have PC’s. and just because a game doesn’t have mod support doesn’t mean it’s a bad game. GDT only got mod support a few months ago and people have put hours into the vanilla game.
i just had a thought! wouldn’t it be cool if GDT moved to consoles? (ps3,xbox,) i mean you could include new features new achievements and you would reach a massive audience! so yea you would have to buy a license but it would be worth it! what do you guys think?
Even though it would be cool to have the game on different console (I won’t buy it though) I don’t think it’s going to profitable when the game is on computers already and working best on a computer
The number one reason: The code. A two man company can’t re-write all that code on a console, and expect to make money. The license costs, the time costs etc.
