Obviously the best console to ever be created by mankind. Game Dev Tycoon clearly needs the implementation of the Ouya.
EDIT: My fellow ouya-sters!! It has finally happened, the ouya has gotten it’s “well deserved” recognition. Truly the biggest improvement in Game Dev Tycoon: the implementation of the Ouya. REJOICE!!!
Um, it’s not the best console in mankind. It’s technological abilities can be surpassed by the Tegra 4 and Snapdragon 600 chips. The Tegra 3 (The one in the Ouya) is pretty bad right now.
Anyway, I will not turn this into a Ouya flamewar, so I will just answer the question. The Ouya is not there, in my opinion, because I think it’s not a console at all. In my eyes, it’s more of a Netflix/streaming box.
Maybe because it’s not released yet, I don’t know.
Probably because it doesn’t have a huge following. It isn’t quite acknowledged by the media at large, outside of reddit/gaming forums. Basically, if you can go into Gamestop and see a poster/cardboard cutout for a console… It’ll be in the game. If not, then it’s not.
EDIT: I guess what I mean to say, it’s not in the pop culture.
Oh and the best console ever created is the Wii U. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t talk about gameplay or hardware. I talk about the fact that there won’t be EA Games on the Wii U because Nintendo won’t let them make Origin crap on their console.
The main reason I think is that the Wii U is not very good for third-party titles. The Wii U is not selling very well. Why would EA support a console that no one is buying?
Origin could be the reason, but Origin doesn’t exist on Xbox, or Playstation.
EDIT: Just found out this post was very off-topic…
As a final note to this: The developers of Crysis 3 said they already made a working of the Game for Wii U, just EA said no to publishing it, so it got scrapped. Origin by the way, might exist on the next gen xbox/playstation. EA made a statement how they don’t consider the wii u next gen. I could go on and on about this, but the reason is probably really origin.
Ouya? Firstly the Android platform or shall I say ‘Pandroid’ should be implemented into the game before a console like the ‘Vouya’ would appear in-game.
No offense, i think Ouya is a good idea. Playing mobile games on the big telly? yeah. But i don’t see why the ouya is so amazing, many of the games on it are available on mobile phones. And those so-called “Ouya Exclusives”, most of those are Xbox Live titles that you can buy on a hard disk.
I still think PC is the best gaming experience i’ve ever had, I don’t hate the consoles, but the PC industry is getting larger and larger, and technology of PCs are nearing next gen consoles.
I don’t want to start a war or anything, it’s just that the Ouya isn’t that amazing.
Friend, PCs have been ahead of consoles for a long time now.
There was a brief period after the Xbox 360 came out in 2005, where the Xbox 360 was more powerful than a gaming PC, but by 2006 the PC had taken the lead again with faster graphics, higher resolution and bigger RAM. By the time the PS3 came out in 2006, the PC was already a lot more powerful than it.
When the Xbox One and PS4 launch, they will be roughly as powerful as a PC with a Core i5 2500k CPU, 6GB of RAM and a Radeon HD7970 GPU. A PC with that spec is fast, sure, but much faster gaming PCs exist already, and the consoles haven’t even come out yet!
But that’s a custom build. What i really meant was regular PCs (you know, the one you buy out of the store or something (but i’m too lazy to research it (because i don’t know why i’m lazy (probably because i’m lazy))), and you will not have to build a custom CPU for it.
You don’t have to make a custom build to beat those specs man, the minimum spec Alienware Desktop is faster than an Xbox one, and nearly as fast as a PS4:
Better than the spec I posted and it only costs about $700.
If you go up to about the $1000 mark you get something significantly faster than a PS4…
And that’s before the consoles have even come out. In a year’s time you will able to buy a PC which is faster than a PS4 and a lot faster than an XBone for about $500-600…
