I am unable to select menu items. This only happens when in a dialog (e.g. research, training) rather than the right click menu. When I click on an item it animates smaller as though it is being selected but does not go into the sub-menu (researching a new topic) or select the item.
I am running the 64-bit linux 1.3.8 version.
Try click on the very right of the option. It also happened to me a lot, but that works most of the time. Needs to be fixed though…

Linux Mint 14, XFCE.
I tried clicking on the right, and while that does extend the “button press” animation, it doesn’t select things still.
1.3.9 doesn’t fix the issue. The has rendered the game unplayable.
So, any word on a fix for this?
I am also having this problem :S. Can their please be a resolution or a fix to this problem?
The behavior you describe matches what happens when you don’t have enough money or research points to select an item. Please check this first.
Also, can you tell me whether you play in windowed mode or fullscreen?
Hey Patrick thank you very much for posting so quickly. You’re resolution worked. I didn’t have enough RP and i had to double click for the tab to go blue.
