Since i can not really explain what happens to me, i’ll provide you with a screenshot:
The red arrow shows you, where the Steam achievement signs should appear, but they only scroll up about 20% of what they actually should - it is not possible to see the whole achievement.
i’ve been experiencing this with non-steam version when added it to steam as non-steam game. all messages poped up half visible.
same here but it doesnt fit on the right cus only half of the side fits
What resolution are you using?
Edit: Experiencing the same issues, though the achievement is just cut off on the right. I’ll try to get a SS. I’m using 1366x768
Happens to me too, using 1680x1050 res.
Another annoying thing with the steam, i was typing my player name, as soon as i put “Re” it came up with the steam community thing (this happened twice in the same place), and i was unable to click on the close at the top, after much tabbing around and such i got rid of it, but yeh, the game isn’t playing happy with the steam overlay at all.

We are aware of this and are investigating it. It is probably secondary to the Steam overlay lag problem.
Just to clarify: I am using a resolution of 1440x1080.
Sorry to bump up an old thread, but this bug is still present as far as I can tell. I’ve unlocked two in-game achievements but they don’t appear on my Steam profile, nor was there a popup in the bottom right of the screen. The in-game overlay does not come up either, suggesting that maybe the game doesn’t know it’s running within Steam.
I’m running on Ubuntu 13.10. If the resolution matters this is on a 2560x1440 monitor but it happened in full screen and in windowed modes.

Joined the forum to mention the same issue that ‘videogamer’ has pointed out - I’m also running the Linux Steam version, and have the same issue with the in-game achievements and the Steam one not syncing up (in my case, at all).
Presumably that means that it’s not an interface issue, but rather an issue with the game not playing nicely with Steam under Linux?
Is there any progress with the fix?

i do not know what version but i have it with steam and i think it auto updates
i have tried alot of mods like exspansion pack multiplayer mod … but now i have cleared my mod folder and it still doesnt work

I don’t know how you see that but i play it on fullscreen if you mean that, I’m not that good with computers.

You can also take this opportunity to check if you are using the highest resolution available to you.
uhm ok now i see I have 1600x900 as resolution
and also its not just the achievements its also when a friend gets online or plays a game, you know what I mean?
and I’m using my laptop screen and an additionel monitor maybe thats’s a problem?

If its not only the game, the resolution of your laptop is probably not the right one.
You say that you are using a resolution of 1600x900 which seems a little high to me. Try turning it down procedurally and look how it changes.
Edit: The resolutions of laptop and additional monitor probably differ which causes this problem.
