Save Game is a Time Traveler

I realize the Devs here do not offer support for edited saves, but I am at least hoping I can get help from other players!

So I’ve been editing my save manually (With an SQL editor, not with that save editor on the forums), and I haven’t had any real issues until recently. 11 hours ago, I saved my game and exited out to go to work.

I come home, start up my game, load the save, and play for a few hours - routinely saving and loading with no issue.

I save my game again and exit to go do a save edit…

I notice that some of my characters in the save don’t have the same stats I remember them having, so I stop what I’m doing and start up the game again…

…Only to see that my game has traveled in time to 11 hours ago.

Has this happened to anyone else? I presume those three hours of gameplay I sunk in earlier after getting home are completely gone now, but what can I do to avoid this issue in the future? (Don’t you say 'Don’t edit your save!")

Just don’t edit your saves…? :stuck_out_tongue:

GDT automagically loads the “auto” savegame slot when you start it,
you have to manually load another savegame slot if you fiddle with the settings.

eg. press ESC then select, “load” then select slot.1, 2 or 3.

But I was manually loading Save Slot 1, which was the save slot I was fiddling with to begin with. =/

same thing happend to me i showed up with 4 save slots for some reason and lost 2-3 hours of work, as it just reset to the first stages of the game

That’s easy, just get on the game, hit Esc, click Load, and load up all the saves you have,if none of them work check your save editor. Oh, and I don’t think you need to edit your game so much, can corrupt your saves. Just edit money and research points, do the rest on the game. Maybe even fans.
