Save game for players who want to cheat

Save File:
100M Cash & 100M Fans Beginning of Game.

This was on Save Slot 2. So when you get into the game press escape then load and then select the second save slot. Do be careful with this you can only have this one file so when you put this file in your folder make sure to back up you own file or your own saves will be gone.

Path to copy to:
C:\Users<username>\AppData\Local\Game Dev Tycoon\Local Storage\
or do a search in your C:\ drive for Local Storage when you find the one that matches the above path then you have the right one.

SIDENOTE : If you don’t want to cheat then don’t download. PLUS If your savegame is ruined I won’t take the blame. I have the path above. REFER TO IT , better back up your saves just in case.

This savegame starts from week one , the company name is Company Name and the player is Player. Change this in the savegame if you don’t like it.

The first time it asks you to go to 2nd office ( after the garage ) pick not yet and make a few games ( 4 or 5 ) Then wait till it asks you again and then pay 150k to avoid game crash. Game crashes when you go to the 2nd office without 2 or 3 games only which is impossible.

I just used cheatengine , and sorry for the Company Name and Player name. Did you manage to change it? @ColtWilliams

no i was’t sure how and i was using it just to screw around and get used to the game i might use it again if i get bored i almost beat the game so

I don’t know if your reffering to the download I offered. But this is not a save game editor. It’s just a savegame I offer people who want to cheat.

I think cheating should not be encouraged as a suggestion to play the game.

I’m downloading this now. I’m frustrated because my games aren’t selling well and I go bankrupt so often. =P

If you have any problems after downloading this, please tell me. I’ll try to fix anything. Just put your computer specs.

Updates :

  1. Changed starting number of fans to 99 million instead of 100 million ( Don’t worry you’ll earn fans easily.)

  2. Have Fun with it.

Use a program called database editor, i don’t know the program really, but use that goddamned thing to cheat this game

How exactly do I change the company name? The save file works but I cant change the name

Here’s how :

  1. Download Notepad++ , It must be that because normal notepad messes with the save file.

  2. Go to the save file and search for “Company Name”

  3. Change it to whatever you want!

When opened in notepad++ the characters come up as a bunch of “Nul” and other random letters but nothing that can be read muchless can be searched and replaced.
