If it’s installed properly all you need to do is use the Open Default Database option, saves you from having to learn the filepath since the save file isn’t kept in My Docs but under App Data.

I am using a Mac w/10.8.3 and have a graphical glitch to report and show you. Part of the editable attributes are cutoff in your editor. And without a scrollbar or a proper way to stretch the inner box the details remain untouchable.

When I modify whatever save, It can load, but when I save and I reload, it doesn’t work.

Why did you quote me Romire? We’re using 2 different platforms. I’m on a Mac using OS X with a unrelated issue to you and you’re on a virus magnet. 
You have extracted the jar file instead of running it. You need to make sure you have the JRE downloaded. Re-download the editor jar, right click on it and choose “Open With” then go to either C:\Program Files\Java\jre\java.exe or C:\Program Files(x86)\Java\jre\java.exe
If you still can’t run it go to java.com and download the latest java 7 runtime.
What kind of person cheats in a game that he/she gave money for it???

Have you managed to work out that error that won’t load the save file?
Still working on it. So far I’ve only been able to replicate it when editing staff members tech/design/speed/etc points.
What I BELIEVE is happening is that the game expects other conditions to be met once your skill/tech/design points are at a certain height. I’ve had to extract the game to its own folder and I’m trying to get debug info out of node-webkit. I’m not a JavaScript developer so this is unfamiliar territory.
Sorry for the delays. This gives me a much more thorough knowledge of how the game works to be able to fix/prevent shit like this in the future.
For now, if you’d like to cheat - I’ve edited money/fans/research points heaps of times. As long as I don’t touch the staff points, it works fine. If anyone else is experiencing differently editing those 3-4 items, I’d like to hear from you!

@HeWhoWas What I mean is when I even try to load up the localstorage file it pops up with an error and it won’t let me do anything with the save. Here is what it says when I try to load the file, “An error has occurred. It helps developers and users if you report this issue. Report?” I did send a report from this last night, but I thought I’d mention it here.

I agree with this person’s error i’m getting it now with 0.4.5 and last time i used it it missed my … save game up and gave me the error i sent to @HeWhoWas so yeah those are my two problems for now.

Well it appears i cant get it working, cause i dont know what i should b opening!
If you have the JRE, all you need to open is GDTEdit.jar. It will run like an exe file.
I can provide a file with everything but maybe a topic or two researched and 4 consoles built. Tell me if it may be useful…

To everyone else: I’m going to tackle this a different way. If as many as people could email their unedited save files (preferably during the second office) that would be awesome. I need to figure out what structure changes or which stats/numbers are tied to one another to cause this isCustom issue. So far I haven’t found any fields with this name in any saves, so I’m begging to assume it’s an internal variable that is being deserialized as null from something else.
