If you go to the 2nd office before you make atleast 3 games that happens, because its trying to popup that box that says “STUDIONAME who made GAME X & Y now has a real office, they previously worked in a garage” or something. Basically the game has no names so it errors out.

Don’t know how to explain it, but the game breaks whenever I try to use the editor twice in a single phase. Essentially, it doesn’t allow the game to start up again. I don’t know how to get logs for it, but I’ll see what I can do.

Thank you for that I’ll add a check on game load if there is enough gameLog entries, and caution if not. Not much I could really do except allow inserts on the Game Log. We’ll see.

I seem to be able to edit the main person’s skills but if I never edit money, the game never loads again.

I have the issue where it popups with isCustom is null error. Then the game doesnt load

I only get the black loading screen with the white loading bar.

This keeps happening to me as well. I can load the game after I make the changes, but after I play then save again, the game won’t load again.

Where’s the latest version of the editor? The original post has the original, but I see references to later versions? Where are those posted or is the original post updated with the newest version of the editor?

Ok guys, had some work issues over the last 48 hours (I worked 30 of them) that have kept me away but I’ve got the day to myself tomorrow and intend to make some headway. Let’s answer some questions first:

@quarterback - I always update the OP with the new download information. Both links are kept up to date. Version 0.4.1 onwards receives update notifications as well.

@Sarda @maelish If you could send me your save files via email or PM I can help you debug the issue.

@Arestame Unfortunately no. As it is, there’s a bug when going from first level to second with fewer than 3 games developed will cause the game to crash. This might be introduced in future, but it will have to be carefully done to try and minimise breaking peoples games.

I’ve also got my Windows VM installed with a copy of 1.3.9 so I’ll be doing testing against this for compatibility issues.

I just emailed you a copy of my save file. I edited stats on my main character and the first employee. It worked fine after that, but then I tried editing the other employees and now it locks up at the loading screen with no sound.

I’m using Win7, 64bit, if that helps any.

I’ll be deleting all of the data and letting the game rebuild it and trying again to see if I can figure out if there’s a certain path to recreating the issue…and possibly a way around it.

Update (0.4.3):

  • Restricted saving of game saves to those that have at least 3 games developed. Play for a little bit before editing.
  • Fixed a small number of mapping issues. These reports are getting less frequent, woohoo. Game databases should load now.
