Oh my god… you’re actually gonna work on Updates and Prices?
If it’s possible, it might be an idea to let your updated game be on the market again for a short time. Terraria-like, they boosted their sales too after the 2.0 release.
I’ve always been keen on a mod that unlocks all topics from the start as I hate wasting time/research on them, especially now there are so many from mods, and would prefer just to have my choice of topics. You would still get the challenge of finding what matches what but wouldn’t have to waste 10rp a pop and lots of head-scratching time
Altered Game Length: pretty much what it sounds like. Giving people the option to either set the length of the game or providing a couple of options longer than 42 years for people who want to take their time with things.
Simultaneous Game Development: allowing the team to work on more than one game at a time (because it’s kind of annoying when I’ve got a team of 4+ and I just want to make a quick, small game that doesn’t really need all of the staff). I imagine it would be possible to have up to 6-7 small games being worked on at once, or 2-3 medium games, or possibly 2 large games. This would probably need to be balanced against the T/D points so the games didn’t all get horrible reviews, though.
Targeted Marketing: more marketing options, with the ability to use more than one form of marketing if desired. Money could be spent on print ads, internet ads, social media, et cetera.
Non-rounded Review Scores: just in the interest of facilitating realism, it would be neat to have decimal points added to the review scores and not have the overall review score rounded to an increment of .25.
Sort Game History: being able to view game history as a list/spreadsheet and sort games by genre, copies sold, review score or whatever.
Additional Audience Ratings: in addition to young/everyone/mature, it would be neat to have an “adult” category. I know in Australia we’ve got both “mature” which is 15+, and we’ve now (finally) got a strictly adult rating, which is 18+ and generally only houses the most violent or controversial games.
6a. Just another thought on the audience rating - it seems to affect review scores somewhat if the audience or genre doesn’t match the console and I’d love to see a mod that did away with that and had it only affect sales, since that’s probably a little closer to how the actual industry is. A couple of really great adult games were released for the Wii, for instance (MadWorld springs to mind) and they got good reviews, they just sold horribly.
I’d totally program these things myself if I could, but I unfortunately lack those skills. Perhaps someone else on here digs my ideas and would like to make them happen?
I love the idea that fans could get more excited about a franchise or character. That should definitely be a mod. Not just sequels but taking it further and making it a franchise would really get the fans excited and hype the game (unless you release same franchise games on same platforms too often, than fans get annoyed/bored). Being able to have a character to star in your games (would probably be franchise related - e.g. A sonic type game when creating another entry in the franchise you can choose to add the lead character or not and possibly to have the option as having the character return as the main playable character, or an npc the player would interact with, each one could get different fan reactions).
Franchise/Character mod would be a fantastic mod, and just that content would be more than enough for it to be its own mod. Please someone make this!!!
I would absolutely love a purely cosmetic mod that just changes the names of companies/platforms to their real world names. I understand there’s legal reasons why Greenheart Games can’t use Nintendo and Microsoft or the name “Playstation” in their game, but there’s no reason why a modder can’t.
I’m looking for someone who could help me setup a mod/api. I don’t know how to write/hook the api into the game source, but i ‘hacked’ (altered) the game source for my ‘mod’ to work.
It’s a training ‘hack’. It’s basically an alteration of the training values (increased a bit) but with a bonus; The modifier is random, meaning: Sometimes you get a training ‘bonus’ (higher stats) sometimes you don’t (regular stats). Now my staff’s quality/salary ratio actually makes sense.
BUT because it’s alteration of the source code, i can’t post it. If ‘we’ could make a mod for this, more users might be able to enjoy it.
are there any modders out there still willing to take a mod request to combine some out dated features so they will work in the game now?
If so i am looking for a mod that adds the multi-topic to go along with the multi-genra. Would also be nice if the staff gains XP from games mod(or something like it) was added in. i tried to use the monkey’s expansion but it doesn’t work and there are no other mods like it that i have found that work. Would also be nice if it works with mods for hardware, would be nice to have more hardware to add to the consoles i make.
If there is some one out there that is willing to make a mod like this i would be so very grateful, i love the game but would like more content in it(hardware, multi-topic & multi-genra…etc.) and work with other mods for topic, genra even consoles.
i hope some one can help me because i am not smart enough to make this mod at all. Thank you in advance if you can help and thats ok if not i will live
