I want to start off by saying I’ve purchased Game Dev Tycoon. I must admit that I do pirate games but only to play them as if they were a demo, if I liked the game then I would buy it. I downloaded the demo for Game Dev Tycoon but it wouldn’t load, it would just show a white screen on startup, because of this I decided to pirate the game to try and get around the white screen and actually experience the game play but this didn’t work, I was still getting a white screen.
After watching a few videos on YouTube from people like Sips I decided to purchase the game as it looks great. I now have the game legitimately but when I open the .exe file I get a plain white screen with a loading cursor and nothing else. I’ve tried everything to get it to work but the only thing that seems to cut it is if I boot my computer up in Safe Mode, after doing this the game will launch correctly. Does anybody else have this issue?
What’s your PC specs? Update everything and run as admin.

Using AMD CCC 13.5 Beta 3 and running Game Dev Tycoon as admin.
Still get the white screen. I heard about having to disable Eyefinity and use just one monitor so I tired that but it still doesn’t work.
I’m using the same gpu drivers and it works fine for me. Did you run as admin? How bout your game settings on the catalyst? Is it default?
I’m definitely running the game as an admin and I haven’t messed around with any settings in the driver menus.
Uninstall it complete then install it again? The game is not using directx. Upgrade your adobe flash.
I’ve done all that already but I still get this white screen problem 
The only way I’ve been able to play the game is running my computer in Safe Mode, does this mean that some software I have is interfering with it and it’s being disabled in Safe Mode which is why I am able to run it there?

All I have running is the software for my mouse, keyboard, headset, motherboard, anti virus, AMD CCC and Google Drive.
What’s google drive? hmmm…did you send an email for support? They reply fast.
It’s pretty much Microsoft Office but Google’s version and it’s free. Sync files with your Google account through Google Drive and access them on any computer with Google Drive

Just had a nice conversation with Customer Support who said they hope to fix the problem soon and have told the developers. The responses from the support team were extremely quick, I’m very impressed!
I told you. xD Have you searched the forums? I think I saw the same thread somewhere. xD
I’ve looked through a few threads about the problem but there aren’t any solutions I guess I’ll just have to wait for the next update until I can play the game
Uninstall then redownload the link. then install again. If it’s not working. install the game on another partition
Why would the software function differently in a partition?
I don’t think that it would, although there are definitely other games which will perform strangely if installed to anywhere other than the default location.
I’ve installed this game to the default location and two other hard drives but I encounter the same problem on all of them.
