Do you have Steam Cloud enabled?
Heya,
I would suggest firstly making sure that you have a stable internet connection.
Then resync your saves on Steam by;
This should then force sync your saves with the cloud ready for download on your new machine. Make sure your new machine also has internet access and is signed into the same Steam account.
If you let me know which OS you are using i can let you know your save location.
It didn’t force save them
I am on Windows 7 Pro 64-bit
Also I found my save file but all of them are corrupted. This is in the Steam foler.
How do you know your saves are corrupted? was your laptop with your old saves also using the Steam edition of the game?
Yes it was and I forgot that I failed at trying to delete the cloud saves.
These are the save game locations for the Steam version. You can try manually placing the files on the new machine and syncing with the cloud but its not guaranteed to work. The saves really need to be uploaded to the cloud by your first machine and downloaded to your new machine. It may be worth contacting Steam support if this service is failing for you as there may be a reason such as the software being blocked by a firewall etc that Steam support can troubleshoot.
Save Game Locations;
On Windows 8 and Under:
C:/Users/YOURUSER/Appdata/Local/Game Dev Tycoon - Steam/Local Storage/
where YOURUSER is your Windows user name.
To View the App Data folder please allow viewing of Hidden Files and Folder;
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows7/show-hidden-files
And also copy and replace the data in the following Steam folder;
For The Steam edition if you navigate to;
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\Your ID\239820\remote
(Your path may be slightly different if you did not install in the default location)
