So I paid out for a new game engine and researched a steering wheel before hand. I was able to use the steering wheel in my new engine. So I made a new game F1 Reloaded (a kind a follow on to my F1 game but don’t have the squeal option). I used my engine yet didn’t have the option to use the steering wheel. The game ended up being a surprise hit anyway.
Now I’m making a Post Apocalyptic/Action game with my new engine. I appear to have the option to now choose a steering wheel in Stage 1. So I have the option in this when it clearly doesn’t require one yet not in the racing game.
Random is all the game appears to be.
Sounds more like you picked the wrong engine the first time or just over-looked the option. I’ve not come across this yet and have made a lot of games using varying engines, it worked fine, every time.
Assuming you have the option every time now, I assume you just mis-clicked for your engine the first time.
Nope. No mis-click as I only have one engine. That engine has the option for a steering. So that option should of been available for the racing game but it wasn’t. Was only available for the later war type game I was starting that had no need for a steering wheel.
Did you make sure to use the game engine for the game? There is an option to not use any engine.
Yep specifically made the game so I could use my game engine that had the steering wheel option.
