How many hours have YOU played Game Dev Tycoon?

So, how many hours have you guys played Game Dev Tycoon? I have personally played it for 38 hours, NOT including the Windows Store version. So actually, probably around 42 hours. Since I am still somewhat new to PC gaming, and just got a gaming PC about 2 months ago, I have played this game more than any other game in my Steam library. Far Cry 4 is 37 hours played, and Game Dev Tycoon beats that, lol! I am just curious, because this game is amazing!

Well…
something like 8 - 9 on Steam + 123124 on desktop + 10 * 10^23 hours spent on modding

93 hours total…

TRAITOR!! :rage: :stuck_out_tongue: :smirk:

Not really, didn’t have any money and wanted to play the game. Bought it when I got some munny

Did you ever get the torrent that GHG uploaded? Or were you lucky and didn’t get that torrent?

When I download torrents, I only download from trusted members. No, I got a good torrent. Why would I take the one a random, unknown person uploaded?

I firmly believe in the concept of try-before-you-buy. I don’t buy clothes online, I don’t buy a car without driving it, and I don’t buy videogames until I know I will get at least a day’s worth of fun out of it. With that in mind, nearly every single game I’ve bought for myself in the last ten years I pirated first, since very few games offer quality demos or trials.

I like to think that most of the people who alter and upload DRM-free versions of games have the same belief, since they’re obviously paying customers themselves, and always include lovely messages like “support the developers by buying software you enjoy.”

I have logged 72 hours on GDT within steam.

I use the torrented version. Mostly because I have no moneycard (credit card) and I have asian parents (strict). Soon I will have my reveng- I MEAN GDT.

That is not really an excuse. Heard of PaySafeCard?

Yeah, I can see your point. Not that I agree with it… Why don’t you just watch a let’s play of the game you want? That’s a virus-free way to showcase the game you desire and not hurt the developer(s) as well as your computer.

How do you get a virus from downloading from a trusted member? And how does this virus work? Its not like I will run it as root or anything.
