Could have to do with your graphics chip or drive.

Have you checked our FAQ at all?
When this happens, and depending on which system you are on it might either be a program blocking Game Dev Tycoon from starting up (like an anti-virus and a firewall) or like @SnowyOwl mentioned, might be related to your graphics card, specifically if you are running the game on a laptop with an AMD card.
