Your ideas are making me VERY happy. And 2. Is fine but why not focus on the original?
1.A Mario platformer with a Mario RPG story
2.Business Tycoon game where the primary goal is to beat the other companies (sayā¦ a modern Aerobiz)
3.Pokemon RPG with a good story (strangely, the Pokemon spin-offs tend to have better story than the main games)
4.Any Valve Title ending in '3ā
5.Need for Speed Carbon 2
6.An RPG or adventure where youāre not the only protagonist, and you compete with the others for treasure, fame, who gets to the dungeon first, etc. (also, you must not be locked on the same āscreenā at all times)
7.A Zelda game where you play as Gannondorf.
- You could have a feature that is a new mode, you are the owner of a games company, but instead of starting in the garage, it starts in Level Two and you do all the backstage stuff.
- A sequel to Need For Speed Carbon.
2.A Console Tycoon game.
3.A Car Simulation game (Gran Turismo, Forza, etc.) that actually feels like you are driving a car (Need for Speed, Gridā¦) and has a good singleplayer (Grid, F1 Championships)
EDIT: - A Rome First-Person-Swordslashing-shooter-open world-RPG-thing.
2.A Console Tycoon game.
already in dev. wont be out for a while though.
WHos making it?
I have been working on it for a few months, but It has been put on hold till my other game is released due to lack of funds, I started working on the concept and Idea for this last summer when I played Game Dev Story.
The Idea is you start off as a software developer and make better Software for consoles, then you start to make your own consoles, once you have enough money, ect ect ect. So you have t make the software for your console as well, like the graphic engine and such. So if you made say 2D V3 Graphics you can then add that to the Build of your console while itās being made, same with sound support and such, I wanted to work with Green heart on this and wrote them but never got an answer back sadly.
1 and 2 perfectly describe Mass Effect. Never heard of that? lol
Treasure Hunter RPG/Sim
Hmm, message me on skype, if you do have it, I am doing a programming course on Lynda.com and I wish to make games, but I have a high creativity mind so Iāll be able to help
Well, there is a game that is attempting to get on steam greenlight. Itās called āStomping Landsā, and itās very similar to what you want.
Iāve been looking for a game like prototype and plague.inc merged where you are an infected super heroe/bad guy and can evolve and spread the virus but no luck so far would be cool to have it as a gps type app on your phone too.
My ultimate game I want to play would go as follows:
You are part of a colony ship that lands on a new alien world. You start off as a normal citizenā¦ you are nobody important and are just part of the normal routine, helping to get the colony setup. This stage of the game would almost play like the Sims, as you do work, manage relationships with your fellow colony members and even find yourself a spouse and have children if thatās what you want.
As you get used to your role, youāll begin to get the option of learning more specialized skills. What specialized skills you learn will determine what direction your career goes. Specifically the skills would be:
Combat
Science
Engineering
Politics
Economics
The hallmark of the game would be that you pick exactly TWO of these, and with big skill trees under each major category, you could focus your skills in one or the other, or balance them.
Ultimately, you are trying to work for the better of the colony, but there are many varied and procedurally generated threats that could undo everything.
Every other colonist has a random ālife goalā. Many are simple āhave childrenā or āown a robotā. But when you have 7 people (besides the player) who all want to ābe colony leaderā then some infighting is bound to happen.
Add to that alien flora, fauna and other outside influences. Due to the random nature of the world generationā¦ one game might have an alien species of plant that grows meat pods that are perfectly safe for human consumption and thus can be farmed. Another might have a plant that eats people who wander too near to it.
So basically The Sims + Hidden Agenda + Utopia + Capitalism II + Mass Effect + Alpha Centauri
EDIT: Oh, and Dwarf Fortress.
- Graphics = Skyrim or Better
- Settings = Space
- Dialogue/Relationships = Dragon Age 1 / Mass Effect
- Economical/Religion = Civ 5/ Alpha Centauri/ Sierraās Birthright, Banks, Loans, Stock Market Shares.
- Starships = Ability to create, personalize and upgrade starships for different uses like First Encounters had but have several at once in a garage. ie one for people cargo, oen for speed travel one for weapons cargo, one for looking cool
- Exploration = Galaxy and Planet like mass effect but more like skyrim style gameplay
- Activities/Gang Warfare = like Saints Row the Third, Uplink, Mirrors edge
- Combat = Dishonored Style with upgrades like Saints Row, Kill Moves like Saints Row/Skyrim, Vats like Fallout
- Body Mods = Like Deus x
- Reputation = Mass Effect/Baldurs gate
- Character Customisation = Skyrim aesthetics, DnD style Stats or Mass effect
- Puzzles = Portal
- Engine = Cry
- Atmosphere = Dynamic and varied
- Sound Track = Dynamic and varied
Hello,
Iam suggest a band tycoon simulation. there was one years ago but it was never good.
Would love to see a better version of band tycoon.
If you like ideas for this game just send me an email to get further information.
Have you ever tried Eve-Online?Starship wise they seemed to have done it pretty well havenāt seen it mentioned so am just wondering.
You might want to try State of Decay, itās Zombies rather than Space, but the whole colony aspect with competing psyches it all there.
And each character has unique skills and traits they can use.
Level 7 (the max in any skill) Reality TV Enthusiast? Check!
Ex-Army Corporal who gets better results when arguing with the Army? Check!
Dude who likes to talk a bit too much about his love life? āCharacter Traited Discovered: TMIā? Check!
As @vgs said, EvE Online ticks most of those boxes. Not so much the Dialogue aspect, or the Ground Combat, butā¦ Hey, look! Internet Spaceships! AWESOME! (When you get a bank of large-sized railgunsā¦ make sure you have 7.1 sound and turn up the bass to max!)
A similar, poor-manās-EvE if you like, is the X series, which (being singleplayer, not an MMO) has a slightly more obvious story with better character interactions, although still not on the level of Bioware creations. It does, however let you fit autopilots to your shipping fleet, and write scripts to teach the ships to haul cargo for you (and even fight if you have the best autopilot computers)
