Games didnt save during the first session

Hi GHG Team,

yesterday i bought GDT over steam and played about 90 minutes until level 2.
I hired two additional employees and had 3 9.75 - 10 score hits before i saved the game and went to bed.

Moments ago i tried to continue my game dev buisness.
but there was no save game inside the “LoadAGame” dialog.

The game bashed me straight into the tutorial of a freshly started game.

Hi,
When saving, did you let the steam synchronization finish, or did you just turn off your computer “brutally” ?

i stopped my GDT session and watched a few youtube vids from my channel favorites like everyday.
It took me about 15 minuntes bevore i turned of my computer choosing the default shutdown in windows.

i guess steam finished its cloud sync meanwhile…

OK then I’m sorry, I have no good idea to help (you’re right, the sync takes from 15s up to less than 1 minute, and even that is when your connection is really bad)

Try to turn off Cloud sync in the option menu of Steam. Then restart Steam and turn Cloud Sync back on.

Sadly sometimes Steam causes problems.

Hey,

Sometimes the Steam Cloud sync fails. To force sync it please do the following;

  1. In your Steam Library, right-click on Game Dev Tycoon and select “Properties.”
  2. Click the “Updates” tab.
  3. Uncheck “Enable Steam Cloud synchronization for Game Dev Tycoon.”
  4. Click “Close.”
  5. Restart Steam Client
  6. Repeat steps 1 to 4 to turn it back on and your save should sync.
