Game load failure

Win 7 home prem
FX8120 8 core CPU
16Gb DDR3 1600hz
6970 GPU

Have just purchased the game from the website and am encountering the following issue,

Load game from desktop shortcut and it gives you the ‘click to start’ screen then freezes/locks up.

I have managed to get as far as the garage screen once but it froze 3 letters into the initial text box.

Any ideas guys?

might as well be an issue with your system,
check for windows/driver updates or other troublesome third-party software.

or it might be a hardware issue, check your system with something like cpuburn, memtest86 etc,
if your rig is overclocked, ANYTHING strange could happen. :o)
