Also, I don’t think I would necessarily say that the goal for this game is to be better than TubeStar, but rather to be different from it. This game should have a different approach and feel to the topic than TubeStar does, and if people like it, then it’s a good game. They can both be good games without being compared.
Just thought I’d say I’m very interested in this project. Unfortunately, I have absolutely nothing to offer except for my support… if that’s even worth anything. o.o
@Stian
Yeah, I think that it is too early to poll, and that there shouldn’t be a free option if it’s even being considered to be a paid game, because obviously you would rather play a game for free than to pay for it.
I have decided it’s in the best interest to drop Aswin from the team. I felt like I can do this without him, and we clashed on some decisions involving the game.
I do not harbor any ill feelings toward him because of this, and I hope he does well in his other projects.
This game is now completely in my hands. Hopefully you accept the decisions I’ve made and will continue to support the game!
Sorry for the weeks gone without an update, but there just wasn’t enough to report until now!
New concept art:
I now have an excellent artist who can help me to design a beautiful game! We have been working the past couple of weeks to get a base design for everything, and I can now start to implement all the new stuff. I already have some of the main browser headers functionality coded (like tabs, the time manipulation buttons, etc.), so I just need to finish that, and then start to work on FooTube’s pages, and after that I will provide real in-game screenshots, so look forward to that!
I also thought of a new name for the game as you can see from the topic change: ‘Going Viral’.
