Game engine naming bug

Over the course of my game business I’ve made many game engines, after a while I stopped a number naming scheme and then went to an action word scheme like “Unreal Infinite”. I eventually went back to a number naming scheme and accidentally made a new game engine with the same name as an earlier one. When I went to make a game engine with it, even though I selected the right one I was stuck with having to use only the features available to the old game engine. Even though I had worked on “Advanced Physics” or “Realistic Motions” they weren’t available. I had to make the exact same engine again with a new name to use it.

Just encountered this myself. Stuck with two “Teelengines” that only have the ancient game engine data :frowning:

I just encountered this also. I was using a theme naming convention and forgot that I had used a name already. The new Engine only contained the old Engine’s enhancements.

Can this please be fixed?

Thanks,

Bryon

Bump - found this too… months later and still no fix?

Thanks for the feedback. We are investigating this. In the meantime i would suggest creating the engine again with a unique identifier.
