I had the same thing when I was playing a game called Clone Wars Adventures. Turns out there was a huge bug. Millions of people were getting the white screen and sound. There might be the same bug in the game because when I was reading through the forums, I have been seeing related posts. I’m sure Patrick will fix it.

I only see a white screen
We are investigating this issue. To work around it you can either
temporarily disable your internet connection when starting the game or
make sure that no firewall blocks the application.You can also try running the game as an Administrator (righ click the
shortcut and say Run as Administrator).
Turns out with was power options that mess with it in windows 8. I fixed the bug. Simply if using amd graphics assigned it to do whats bedt for itself.
