Well. We have to SLEEP too…

Did you update your steam? Try to update your Steam Client and restarting your computer.

sleep…whats sleep? sorry i got a bit cranky because ive not managed to find a solution anywhere, but thanks ill give yours a try.

well still does not work…

What computer are you using? e.g. Mac 10.1.3 or Windows 8
Did you download the game on steam?

Sleep is a quantum mechanical scientific study that suggests our brains should rest with the closing of our eyes.

Heya,

Please let us know;
Which OS you are using?
e.g. Mac 10.7.5 // Win 7 Sp1
Are you using an external flash/ssd drive?
Have you tried reinstalling?

i am running windows 7 64bit and i am running from a internal hdd.

And yes i have tried re-installing and verifying the integrity of the game cache.

Is your internal drive close to full with little free space?

The c drive is but the game is not installed on that drive, however windows is and i find that can affect some applications.

Yes thats right, your OS needs room to breath and work, Clear some space on your C drive.

I have the same problem. I run XUbuntu. It is a simpler version of Ubuntu. It used to run be ever since the last update it just dosen’t work.

Hey @Bubleme and welcome to the forums!
I have changed your avatar as the ‘Greenheart’ is used by admin here.

Many thanks for contacting us and letting us know about this.
Please try the following and let us know if it helps;

Create a link for libudev.so.0 with the following commands;

for 32bit:
sudo ln -s /lib/i386-linux-gnu/libudev.so.1 ~/.local/share/Steam/SteamApps/common/Game\ Dev\ Tycoon/steamIntegration/32/libudev.so.0

for 64bit:
sudo ln -s /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libudev.so.1 ~/.local/share/Steam/SteamApps/common/Game\ Dev\ Tycoon/steamIntegration/64/libudev.so.0

Thanks, that’s fixed the problem.

I am obviously a little behind since I just started ‘playing’ this but I cannot get this game to launch either. Every time I go to launch the game, I just get a white screen but I can hear the sound of the game. It just sits there with the screen white. I need help because I have no idea how to fix it. I tried the integrity of the game cache and have about two thirds free on the C drive. Help please!

Hey, sorry to hear about that. If you are on a laptop please turn off the AMD/Nvidia and use the Intel. That will resolve the issue. If you are not using a laptop then let me know.

I have the same problem as Wildcats12. I have a windows vista, and the game is installed on my E: disk. (It has 199 GB left of 298) My computer is also NOT a laptop. What do i do?

Well there are different reasons for this to occur on PCs. How much free space do you have on the main C: drive? Also have you tried installing the game on the C: drive and check if the error persists?
