Big Murder Matic Reviews: 6.25. The game has lots of potential overall but I don’t think our times are yet ready to fit all the gory and bloody animations and features it has. Though the ability to kill any NPC is intresting, it doesn’t make up for how customers asked for a recall of all the games, even if you did suggest the game for mature audiences. Though the game is fun it could have had more improvements overall such as the kill any NPC could be quite glitched considering if you could kill the men who give you little thug stealing missions. Then it would ruin the game completley, wouldn’t it?

The game has potential but as we said, we’re not quite ready for gory and bloody games, though there will be a point in time where this will become much more common.

[@Resinex112 next time be a bit more specific in what you can do, I couldn’t review you too good with what you gave me, try to use the standard format next time please]

On a side note, we’re sorry for letting over six monthes go by without reviewing any games,we were on…heh heh heh a vaction. When we came back we found our mail full,so we’ll get right down to reviewing the other games sent in!

(@Aragon450 Careful with that formatting. You might want to go over that last post and fix it up via editing.)

Quest of Minmus reviews: 7.25. We thouroughly enjoyed the creative story in which your company worked hard on! The currency, levelup, skill, and archer or warrior system is FANTASTIC! Though the game is not perfect…the game could have been longer and could have stuck more to it’s platformer genre instead of turning into a sub-sub-genre as you say. Though either way we enjoyed the RPG platformer game! The moon as our enemy…quite creative!

(@Haxor a bit of grammatical errors my friend, though the story and features looked quite good back then so thus why you got the score, I might have rated it more if again the description was more.)

(@Twyster,do you mean the italics? Sorry I just saw your post after I finished rating the Quest of Minmus)

(@Haxor, I don’t mean to be mean I just mean to help with your grammatical errors.)

My fault, I thought the [ square bracket ] text with a space between the brackets and text was a mistake in formatting. I usually use (round brackets) with no space.

(@Twyter you scared me XD I thought you meant my reviews were bad or something, but thanks for pointing that out I’ll make sure it doesn’t happend at all. Also when the Sega GameGear was created it could only run up to 20 minutes or something like that, you shouldn’t be able to run up to 30 hours, should you? The Gameboy advanced could only run 15 hours, unless in modern technology they changed the battery)

(@Aragon450- I have the more detailed review copies in my PM)

(@Haxor you say “I don’t care how will you do it” doesn’t sound very correct to me, by bold marking those I meant to swith them around, and I don’t mean to be a Grammar Nazi or anything just trying to help)

Update to GamePocket system specs!

We at Gadgeteer games have been receiving a lot of letters asking about the power source for the GamePocket.

Here is a full list of specs, now including the number of batteries required:

4 kB RAM
8 kB Video RAM
140x115 resolution (Built-In LCD)
12 sprites
2-channel mono sound (stereo with headphones)
1 pulse wave generator, 1 noise generator
1 cartridge port
Requires 2-4 AA batteries.

The GamePocket will have a battery case big enough for 4 AA batteries, but can operate on only 2 of them. 4 batteries will give up to 30 hours of play time, 3 will give 2 and a half hours, and 2 batteries will provide 15 hours of play time.

It will also have an optional AC adaptor for playing without batteries, which can be used with an external rechargable battery pack. More info on that soon.

(@MacDon My fault, I just read what was on the forums, I can check the copies if you like?)

(@Haxor Grammar Nazi is someone who purposley wants to correct every little grammatical mistake people do on purpose to make them angry.)

(Oh. So it’s me in my language.
Anyway, thanks for pointing that out.)

@Haxor @Aragon450 (Try to move discussions to off-topic, please. It disrupts the flow of the on-topic thread.)

(@MacDon I just want to say one thing and then no more off-topic:

I accidentally overwrote a post I made earlier. Please wait until I give the go-ahead before continuing while I recover my old post and re-post the new post I overwrote with.)

(Okay, go ahead everyone!)

Bus Simulator 86 Reviews: 7.75. Great Game Satyr Studios! The graphics and the simulation is amazing! I enjoyed driving four different unlocked buses and become rich due to “bus-driving!” The animation of the customers and other cars was AMAZING! We enjoyed trying to unlock all the features in the game and evantually tried out the money cheat, which made the game easier. Though, perhaps the game could have had more tycoon-ish content to make it more challenging and fun, perhaps competitor bus companies? Well Satyr Studios is doing a good job, keep up the good work!

GamePocket Marketing Begins!

Today marketing for the GamePocket has begun in both North America and Europe.

The main methods of advertisement are TV commercials and billboard ads in Canada, the USA and Japan depicting the console. The North American slogan is “Never read on the bus again!”.

The commercials also heavily depict the launch games for the console, such as Ojada, The Monster Summoner, Buddy Bear’s Big Misadventure, Horsepower Roadworthy and Pzzl.

  • Buddy Bear’s Big Misadventure is revealed to be about the hero’s quest to stop a spoiled young giant from single-handedly taking over Toyland. The Homework Goblins, along with some of the Toyland natives, have sided with the giant child due to the wording of an ancient prophesy.
  • Horsepower Roadworthy is just like the PC version but with a smaller selection of vehicles. To make up for this, all 32 vehicles will be unique to this iteration of the game.
  • Pzzl is a simple puzzle game where you match lettered blocks (A, B , C and D) in an attempt to form 2x2 squares of a single letter. The blocks arrive from the top of the screen in 2x2 squares that can have anywhere from 2 to four different letters in any possible pattern.

The GamePocket will come in four versions. The $250 GamePocket will contain a grey GamePocket console and 4 batteries. The $300 GamePocket Plus will also include a grey GamePocket, but in addition will have an AC power adaptor. The $350 GamePocket Max will include a black GamePocket, an AC power adaptor and a rechargable battery pack which fits into the battery compartment on the back of the console.

Finally, the $400 GamePocket Toyland Bundle includes a “Buddy Bear-themed” brown GamePocket, an AC power adaptor, a rechargable battery pack, a copy of Buddy Bear’s Big Misadventure and 3 sets of stickers (one for the Buddy Bear’s Toyland series, one for Horsepower and one for Pzzl).

Hopefully the Gamepocket will be a success, because this large, two-region launch cost Gadgeteer Games a total of $10 million, and could lead the company to ruin!

The GamePocket and all of it’s launch titles have been stated to come out on November 30th this year.
