Game Dev Tycoon Black and White screen‏

Hello
I only have white (or a black, it often changes) when I launch Game Dev Tycoon.
I bought it yesterday on Steam.
My PC specifications are: Windows 7 Service Pack one, model Latitude E6540. Proceseur Intel® Core™ i7-4800MQ CPU @ 2.70GHz 2.70 GHz 64 bits
AMD Radeon HD 8790M

Here are the minimum specs needed:
OS: Windows XP SP3
Processor: 2 GHz dual core
Memory: 2 GB RAM
Graphics: Hardware Accelerated Graphics with dedicated memory
Additional Notes: minimum resolution of 1024x768

It probably has something to do with your GPU.

This issue seems to be related to laptops running AMD mobile cards, at least i fixed the issue on mine. I am running windows 7 on a Clevo P150EM laptop with an Intel 3610qm CPU and an AMD 7970m graphics card too.

I fixed it by going into the catalyst control center, and setting the game dev tycoon application to “power saving”, so that it runs from the integrated intel HD4000 graphics card. Then the game runs just fine.

If the application is set to “high performance” the game runs on the 7970m card, and the screen goes black for some reason. Perhaps the developers can fix this in a future patch

I was just saying that we should put what he used as a fix for his problem in the GDT F.A.Q.

It is already in the FAQ, just worded differently:

If you are using a laptop with both integrated and dedicated graphics chips please try using one and then the other.

Switching the AMD/Nvidia off and Intel on is the known solution for laptop users.
