Game Dev Roleplay

In this special short story, we are happy to tell you that Mister Yingzhin has finally recovered, and has returned with a new idea. His game is almost completed, but he has a ace up his sleeve. “Let us say it is a new, fantastic idea.” A mysterious letter has been sent to Samuel Kessler, holding blueprints for a new way to play, with these possibly trademarked names. “Fairplay Portable, Fairplay Mini and FSP.”

Samuel Kessler has sent out multiple odd packages to Bamboo Cane Inc HQ with notes saying; Codename: Portable, Codename: Bamboo and Codename: Cooper. It is obvious ToT Inc is working with Bamboo Cane Inc. On a portable system, but the two other messages seem to odd to decipher. Samuel has said he will release no data about these projects to the public for a while. What could be happening?! The suspense is killing me!

A shocking revelation has been sent from Bamboo Cane Inc! Apparently they have stopped production on their new game, and have hired many famous hardware manufacturers. Xhanada had this to say. "I am sure our partner, Trick or Treaters, will not mind the game coming slightly late…"
We are waiting for statements by Kessler.

Trick or Treaters Inc Owner Samuel Kessler recently released a statement that they are happy to allow them to delay the game a bit, saying that they understand Bamboo Cane Inc’s problems, as they are working with new people and working on hardware, which they know is quite a stressful process.

Blue Dragon has accepted the grant, but won’t confirm that the port will sell well, as they don’t know if the fairplay users like MMOBA (Blue Dragons nickname for the genre of (online DATA clones) games. However, the fairplay has a controller that could work well with these games due to a large amount of buttons on the controller.

In response to the upcoming League of Gods game, Velvet have released an expansion pack to DATA called Gigabyte Rush. The expansion pack include numerous new factions, several new gameplay mechanics and a number of patches to balance gameplay. It seems that Gaben really wants to dominate the strategy game market with this update.
When questioned about the future of Counter-Force on the Fairplay, Gaben had this to say for us.
‘We don’t believe that having only a certain platform should restrict people from playing great games. That is why we want our games on as many different platforms as we can. Therefore, I can safely say that not only will Counter-Force continue to have support on the Fairplay, but should see some new developments in the future too!’

However, the main news from Velvet is that Fight 4 Life is about to hit shelves. There have been numerous improvements to the Sauce engine in this game, most notably in the Artificial Intelligence. Rather than having set spawn points, enemies will spawn depending on how the player is doing. Velvet have also packaged a special device with the game called the ‘Immersion’. It is a band that you wear on your wrist that reads things like your pulse, your body temperature, ect. It is used fantastically in Fight 4 Life as it makes the game change depending on the players state. For example, if the Immersion detects fear (like a fast pulse), it will reduce the number of zombies spawning to give the player a chance to recover. This seems to be one of the reasons Velvet was increasing its Hardware staff. But will we see a console in the future?
Overall Fight 4 Life looks to be a very successful game, although there is no word on Fairplay or Umagine versions. Gaben told us that ‘We are ready to make these version if we need to, but talks between Ubisoft and Trick or Treaters have not yet begun.’

Shocking news! Bamboo Cane Inc has released the Fairplay Portable, a new handheld console modelled after the Fairplay controller! The console has slightly lower system specs than the console itself, but it still has a impressive range of features! The main launch title of the handheld is Sly Cooper! The game has gained favourable reviews! “9 out of 10. I was wondering on the rating, until I finally dropped it to 9 because of it not taking all out from the new handheld. Sequels!” Apparently the handheld’s profits are shared fifty fifty between the two companies. We are waiting for sale figures on both the handheld and the console at the moment.

League of Gods has been released on the Fairplay and PC, and both ports require the player to pay money to have better weapons permanently, as well as to get new gods, because you start with 1 light god and 1 dark god. There are 1v1, 3v3, and 6v6 modes and their is 12 gods, 6 light and 6 dark, with another 3 light and 3 dark coming soon. However the game is free to download. The game has gotten average reviews, due to the strange transactions required to get gods and perma weapons. The game has been downloaded half a million times, and 3 over 4 of the player base has bought new gods and perma-weapons. Did I forget to say that you fight other players online

This is Gameplay News, coming to you from USA, bringing you all the news and thoughts on the current industry! Recently, Trick or Treaters Inc’s stocks have risen like CRAZY. First off, Bamboo Cane Inc. released the Fairplay Portable, a downgraded portable version of the Fairplay system, an incredibly popular console at the moment, and that has gotten sales numbers of at least 700k units sold within the first week of sales, which is quite a bit more than 4 times the sales of the original Nintendo Gameboy sold within its first week! The game came packed in with Bamboo Cane Inc’s “Sly Cooper”, who is probably going to become Bamboo Cane Inc’s mascot. 1 other game is currently available for it, which is a Military/Strategy game called “War Fighters”. That is causing some mad money spilling into Sam and Xhanada’s pockets. For even more amounts of money added, Gaben Newb has positively responded to the release of the console port of League of Gods on the Fairplay, saying that he was fine that his rival company was working on the same platform that his company was working on, and that he was going to release some new developments of Counter-Force and other games too on the console in the future anyways. This has upped the sales of Counter-Force’s port on the Fairplay by quite a lot. Finally, League of Gods came out for the Fairplay, and the extreme amounts of micro-transactions has lead to the companies recieving large amounts of money, since it is estimated that at least 3/4 of all the players have bought new gods and perma-weapons, and with the possibility of more gods and weapons coming to the game, this only means loads of money. In other news, Ubisoft has yet to come out with anything for the past few months. We are perplexed by this, as Ubisoft was originally way ahead of ToT Inc in the market, but now they have lost at least 40% of their market share in the video game industry. What does the future hold for Ubisoft? Will they die? We sure hope not, as we all love their games over here at Gameplay News. Welp, we’ll seeya all very soon. Bai!

Today is a sad day… Sadly, the CO of Bamboo Cane Inc, Xhanada Yingzing, has passed away under sickness. His grandson, the nineteen year old, Lai-Do Yingzing, has inherited the company. The new CO had this to say. “It is sad to see the father of the Fairplay Portable to die out. But, he left behind one more idea. An idea, wich I shall bring out to you. We shall return to you soon on what this idea is.” Apparently, talks between the new CO and the current CO of Tricks or Treaters have starter, seemingly gathering mascots and characters from games of the two companies. It is confirmed that Carl, the character from the companys first game, and Sly Cooper, will make an appearance in this new game. Statements on the mascots and characters of Tricks and Treaters INC are still underway.

League of Gods has added a new panda god that is light for the Fairplay, but only for the fairplay, and it will only be on sale for a week, so get it while you can. It is a tribute to Xhanada Yingzing.

Fight 4 Life has been released on the PC to massive praise, another Velvet masterpiece. The game has sold millions in its opening week and the Smoke service is struggling to keep up with the demands on is servers, much like with the release of Half-Dead 2. However, the gaming universe is baffled as to why the game has not come to Fairplay or Umagine consoles yet. Vevlet announced that they had not received any offers yet from the two rivals. Naturally console gamers are outraged about this.

Fight 4 Life ratings: 9.25/10

Blue Dragon offers a port of Fight 4 Life to the Fairplay done by them with the help of Trick or Treaters Inc.

Big news for everyone! The new MMOSRPG, Morpheus, has been released for the Fairplay and PC! The game has sold over 100 MILLION units in the first week. Dang. The game has sparked an extreme following, causing fans to unite to get Trick or Treaters Inc to hold a convention for it! Samuel Kessler has announced that he will get some planners together for the convention, which will take place on Christmas every year! In some other sad news, the original owner of Bamboo Cane Inc, Xhanada Yingzing, has passed away. He was suffering from an illness which is still unknown, but world-class doctors are researching his body in a major autopsy to find out what the cause of the illness was, and what illness it was, and where it was. One doctor has released a statement saying that it is possible Xhanada was poisoned by the Ricin Bean, an incredibly toxic bean that will kill its host within 2-3 days, and it just looks like a bad cold on the outside. The company was passed down to his grandson, Lai-Do Yingzing, who is only 19 years of age. League of Gods creator Andrew Roberts has recently released a Fairplay-only god for sale on the store which is a Light-type Panda god, since the panda was a favorite animal of Xhanada. They also offered to port the recent Velvet Co game Fight 4 Life over to the Fairplay console, of course, with the help of Trick or Treaters Inc. Samuel Kessler has actually responded negatively- well, in a way, negatively, to the offer. He says that he is pissed that Andrew proposed the idea before even talking with Sam, but he says he still agrees to work on the port. He has also announced that the new mascot of ToT Inc will be their character from Morpheus Zayo, who is a punk rock-styled hacker who is modeled after Samuel’s lifelong friend, Bradford Cunners. An odd choice, but they will no doubt try to incorporate him into the game. Welp, that’s all for this week folks. Seeya soon.

In a confusing announcement from Lai-Do, the new project of Bamboo Cane Inc is a fighting game containing three of the famous characters from both Bamboo Cane Inc and Trick Or Treaters Inc. These characters are Carl, Sly Cooper and Morpheus Zayo. Apparently the game will be made for Fairplay Portable. The game is seemingly focused on multiplayer, with three of the twenty main characters being the company mascots.
The cause of death for Xhanada has been found. The ricin bean was seemingly slipped to his food during the week he was inventing the idea for the new fighting game. Competitors of Trick or Treaters INC are suspected to be behind the assassination. Statements from the other companies have not been released yet.

(It’s just Zayo btw)
Recently, Bamboo Cane Inc announced a new fighting game for the Fairplay Portable, which has yet to have received a name, and doctors have found the cause of Xhanada Yingzing’s death, which was murder through the poison found inside of Ricin beans. Samuel Kessler and Lai-Do Yingzing have already gotten the police involved in the case, and the police now have search warrants for all video game company buildings and the houses of all the workers in those companies. This is a very serious case of financial murder.
In other gaming news: A new company by the name of Darkmoon has started up with a new game called Killer Arena, which is a MMOBA like DATA and LoG, but this one is all about hack and slash style and a roguelike style. This one has tons of cool weapons and loadouts to discover. It will be released for all platforms today.

The new fighting game for the Fairplay portable has gained a name. “Fairplay All-Stars” is seemingly coming out next week, with a special visitor from Ubisoft joining the cast as a hidden character.
On the case of the murder of Xhanada, no-one has not been found yet, and none of the competing companies have made statements.

A new update on the murder! Recently, multiple staff members at Trick or Treaters Inc have been found dead in their apartments, all with the same kind of bullet in their head. It is obvious the killer of Xhanada wants to send a message to the companies telling them to, “back off.” Police have also found traces of ricin beans in the headquarters of Electronic Mass Productions. They have not yet released a statement, but there is no doubt that there will be thorough investigations in all Electronic Mass Productions buildings, and the main suspect is now Electronic Mass Productions owner Trippy Hawkdude. Also, the servers for League of Gods on Fairplay crashed today. ToT Inc is currently working to fix the problem.

The new fighting game for the Fairplay portable has been released! “Fairplay All-Stars” has gained mixed reviews, some critics praising the story, others mocking the rather poor multiplayer options. The game’s special quest is Sonic, from Ubisofts first games. The game has sold moderately, enough to fund the next project by Bamboo Cane Inc. We are waiting to see what they are willing to give.

Fight 4 Life has finally arrived on the FairPlay console, much to the delight of console gamers. Meanwhile, Ubisofts stocks continue to plunge.
Velvet announced they would include an Easter egg in the ported Fight 4 Life, featuring a memorial to Xhanada.
