So I started my first game of game Dev Tycoon and played for a little over an hour. When I was done I pressed escape and manually saved then I closed the game.
I came back to play later the same day and it auto started the tutorial, I checked my loads and it was empty. Slightly disheartening but never mind. I made a new game and played for a couple of hours and again I pressed escape and hit save before I shut the game.
I came back to it the day after and the game auto loaded save 1 and save 2 is missing.
Did you use Steam? If yes, there might have been gone something wrong with the saving to Steam Cloud. If not, I have no idea. 
Your save might be corrupted. There is couple questions:
- Do you use mods?
- Do you have enough computer specs? Check them here: http://www.game-debate.com/games/index.php?g_id=7659&game=Game%20Dev%20Tycoon
- Is your computer in safe mode?
- Do you reinstalled the game?

Hey everyone, the save did not come back but no more have been deleted. For the record, steam version, no mods and my comp meets the specs Thanks for the reply’s!
To avoid this happening in the future i would suggest disabling Steam Cloud and backing up your saves periodically.
