Crashes at startup (Javascript error)

Once I open up the game and clicks on the screen, to enter the game, after I clicked on the screen it loads as usual, until the bar suddenly stops moving. But then i suddenly enter the game, but after just 5 seconds i get a pop-up with a javascript error saying:
“Uncaught error. Please report this to support@greenheartgames.com:
Uncaught Error: InvalidStateError: DOM Exception 11
(file:///Applications/Game%20Dev%20Tycoon.app/Contents/Resources/app.nw/compressed/codeNw.js:1361)”

I am using a MacBook Pro 13", not the retina model.
OS X, Version 10.8.5, I have not yet updated it to mavericks.

I don’t know where this problem comes from. I was playing on around year 60 in the game, with almost 2.2 billion in cash.

Which Version of Game Dev Tycoon you are running?
e.g. 1.3.9.

Which Edition are you using? Steam or Standard?

Have you used any mods?

Uh, I’ve never updated it, idk how to do it. So I’m using version 1.3.3.

I’m running the standard version, but I don’t have the mail with the download link from you anymore, but i still have the original install/.dmg file in finder.

Nope, I have never used any mods, I want to do everything by myself, it is way funnier in this awesome game :smiley:

Hey,

You need to update the game to fix this issue. Here is the changelog;

To update the game you use the download links in the original email from fastspring to redownload the game. As you no longer have this email please contact orders@fastspring.com and let them know the name, GRE order number if you have it and payment method. If you paid via paypal please also let them know the email associated with the purchase.

They will then resend the order fulfilment email which contains both your download links and also a link to your personal order page which contains your free Steam key.

Please store this email in a local folder as you will need it in the future.
