Can't play GDT, removed all mods, reinstalled multiple times

I think I have some files left over from when I modded it or something, I get this error on startup.

Error could not load mod: InfoStatsMod-AbescoUG,: TypeError: Cannot read property ‘folder’ of null

after trying to start the game the screen goes black and I get this error

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘name’ of null (file:///C:/Program%20Files%20(x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/Game%20Dev%20Tycoon/compressed/codeNw.js:1034) please restart the game

Restarting does nothing, I’ve played around with this for a while and this is the closest I’ve gotten to getting the game working again. any ideas?

Managed to get the game working, my steam cloud files were corrupt or something. so disabling it and running the game, then enabling it again seems to have fixed the problem
