Can I recover my Save 1? PLEASE HELP!

It seems my save is corrupt So, can I recover only the save 1? Or at worst, can someone give me a savegame in the third office with R&D Lab and Hardware Lab and and the PS3 just out? Then, I can modify the save with the Save Editor.

did you edit your save game before it became corrupt?

Unable to open with the Save editor, now I just want a save in the office three with the PS3 in the market if possible

Yes, I edited it, but I played from the beginning with a save edited.

thanks for confirming. unfortunately we cannot offer support for edited saves, if you really want to edit saves you should make backups frequently.

You might also be able to talk to @HeWhoWas who I believe wrote the save editor.

well, depending on the version of save game editor your using, i belive it makes a backup of the unedited save, so try going to your save game folder (on windows: C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\Game Dev Tycoon\Local Storage)

and in that folder, there should be a file with a date and time included in the name, if there is, that means that you did have the version that makes auto backups, however, if there isnt one, then your using an older version of the editor, other then that, theres really not any way to get it back.

Yeah, there is an auto-backup but it’s from the beggining…

Hey Arestame, sorry that you’re having issues mate. Some suggestions:

BACKUP YOUR CURRENT (CORRUPTED) SAVE FILE
Download the latest version of my editor and see if it opens. If it does, resave it. The editor is much more forgiving with the JSON input format, and in the latest version it produces ~97% identical data from the game.
Doesn’t open or didn’t work? Send me the localstorage file via pm or email - smashed.187@gmail.com. I’ll take a look at it and see what happened. Did you edit it directly before it became corrupt? Or just at the start?
