[BUG]Custom Game Engine development stuck on 1 progress

So I’m on stage 3 doing pretty well and decided to make a new game engine.

Problem is it’s stuck on 1 progress left and my guys are just spewing out research points instead of the last point.
I tried reloading my save several times, putting some of the guys in training before the game engine progress is sub 100 and putting my R&D lab to work to try if that “changes some RNG bits around” but it always stops at 1.

Here’s what the situation looks like:

Could it be because my guys are too skilled to produce only 1 point of progress at a time or something?
If my save file helps the investigation I can provide that if you can tell me where the game stores it and how you want it shared =)

PS:
Just started this game after a long time away and GODDAMN it’s still so addictive and rewarding. You guys deserve all the praise in the world for this masterpiece =D

Edit: Also I’m not using any mods and to clarify the game is running fine in every other way: time advances, events happen, I can assign my R&D and HW labs to do stuff etc but the game engine development wont finish so my crew can’t do anything but get fired or train skills.

that happened to me too, I wasn’t getting any points, but then I just restarted the game and it worked again.

  • OS: Windows 7 Ultimate SP1
  • GDT version 1.5.27
  • Only happened in this save.
  • Don’t think I did anything specific that lead to this. Between developing this engine and the one before that I’ve had 2-3 of my own conventions, made a tech lab and mostly done with my first console. I remember researching digital distribution and AAA games, atleast.
    All my 7 staff members are lvl6-9 and D/T skills are:

460/487(player char, Graphic, lvl9),
215/714(Tech Specialist, lvl8),
754/217(Design Specialist, Gameplay, lvl8),
564/394(World Design, lvl8),
469/382(lvl7),
809/180(Design Specialist, lvl7),
206/714(lvl6).

Sorry to hear about that. If you have never used mods on that save game then please send me the save via support@greenheartgames.com.
I have heard about this happening before but have never been able to reproduce it. Your best bet is to reload the save to a point in time before the bug occured.

Went into C/Users/[USERNAME]/AppData/Local/Game Dev Tycoon - Steam/GPUCache
Which save file is which save file I wonder? Or are the saves in the Local Storage folder bunched in one file?

EDIT: Silly me for not utilizing google, I sent the files in the Local Storage folder to that email =) Good luck!
