Audio static on Windows

I have a problem where both sound effects and music have static/popping in Game Dev Tycoon. I saw someone else play on an iMac who did not have the problem. My audio hardware:

Creative SoundBlaster Extreme Audio
Logitech X-530 5.1

Audio driver, according to Device Manager: 5.12.1.2061

Is this a common problem?

I have this too. it only started after the new update.

And what audio hardware do you have? I’m curious if this is a hardware specific issue.

I have both the On Board Realtek HD and my Soundblaster Tactic 3D(alpha) headset I cant remember which one its done it on so far its very intermittent.
