Things we’d like to see in the next game or in updates:
-
Better organization of previous games. Make it a list, and sort by genre, popularity, money made, platform, etc. It’s nearly impossible to find the right game to make a sequal from.
-
Analytics to explain why a game did well or failed.
-
Auto title generator
-
Pop-up definitions for each game genre and other important words in the game.
-
More specific feedback from the critics. It’s useful when they tell you that the graphics were poor or the ombination was bad, but they rarely do.
-
Ability to promote PC games through social media for cheap. Isn’t that how Zinga made its billions?
-
Ability to shrink the screen. I have a widescreen monitor, and I play while I’m streaming tv. There’s no reason why I can’t shrink the game to half-screen without pushing the messages off the edge. Most people do two things (or more) at the same time.
-
The convention events don’t seem to do anything, and seem to be a big waste of time. (Perhaps this is deliberate?) Maybe make these more dynamic by sending a staff member and having clickable options like “Interact with fans” or “Promote game”? This could raise their design score, because they’re listening to fans’ feedback. I’m also frustrated that going to cons doesn’t get more fans or business opportunities – that’s the whole point of going to a con. Cons should spawn more events.

The game gets pretty monotonous. In general, I wish there was more random events – good and bad. Even little things like staff members getting burnt over from overwork, or a visit from a potential investor. Think of the “chance” cards from Monopoly that brought good/bad things. But, the best events are the ones that result from something the player did. I wish installing solar panals was rewarded with less monthly costs, or not going after software pirates caused something else to happen.
