Can you make this game compatible with the Windows 8.1 Store and it’s Operating System when Windows 8.1 comes out later this year.
Hopefully, I’m on Windows 8 now and it runs fine for me.
Game Dev Tycoon was originally released as a Windows 8 Store exclusive title, and was later ported to the Desktop for availability on Windows XP and later, Mac OS X 10.7 and later, and most recent Linux distros.
Since the 8.1 update for Windows 8 is basically a Service Pack, it is extremely unlikely that the ecosystem will be so radically changed that it prevents GDT from working in either the ‘Modern UI’ or ‘Desktop’ format. Therefore compatibility options will likely be a simple case of “Click Start, select Game Dev Tycoon, and Play”.

I think WIndows 8.1 is just updated Windows 8. There isint much new on the Windows 8.1 i tried the preview versio. Basicly they made search, skydrive and tiles better. Also Live wallpaper etc. I think the game works the same on it
Windows 8.1 had lots of new features including returning the Start Button? And I thought the release was designed for Q4, 2013?
