No, you don’t only get it free for one year, you have one year to take advantage of the free upgrade. As soon as 10 comes out, you can upgrade for free, after one year it’ll cost a fee to upgrade, like every other Windows.

I don’t like 10, they are trying to adapt to people that can’t handle a change in OS. Only good think I can see about it, is Directx12.

It’s not that people cannot handle changes, it’s because IT “professionals” says to everyone “win 8 is sh*t” and that’s why people don’t like Windows 8.

Yeah, it was exactly the same with Vista.
It wasn’t that good when released, but then Microsoft fixed it.

I still want 10 way more than 8 because Spartan, DirectX 12, Start menu, and it’s free!

Transparency and Blur! (Yeah our windows will look badass)
Microsoft Edge! (Its official name according to Winbeta and Neowin) (No more Internet Explorer!!)
Start Menu! (A Hybrid and Jump List!)
Windows Apps! (Codenamed: Universal Apps)
Dem Graphics! (DirectX 12!!!)

Also the WinVista issue was that Microsoft updated the kernel to 6.0 as opposed to 5.1 XP
causing many drivers to malfunction and caused their computer to go broken
Microsoft also updated Win10 Kernel to 10 but I still don’t see the same event that caused drivers goes insane when they see kernel 10

You should read up on “Microsoft Edge” and “Spartan”, @Haxor and @A_Random_Guy.

It is literally just Internet Explorer with a new name, plus removing stuff like ActiveX and IE-only CSS compatibility. It’s basically Microsoft giving IE a new design and spending millions on marketing.

So you would be fine with EA releasing a BRAND NEW GAME FRANCHISE!!!1!!! called “City Game Franchise” and it being the exact same as SimCity 5 with a new name? Of course you would.

Nope, that’s two completely different things

Only good thing about SimCity (the new one) was the name.
So if EA release reskinned SimCity only with new name, it will be even worse.

TL;DR:

… no toolbars, no Java, no Silverlight. It doesn’t, however, mean no Flash; that’s a built-in capability. PDF rendering is also built-in.

In their place are Chrome-like extensions built in HTML and JavaScript. However, these aren’t coming immediately.

In Edge, Microsoft is also committing to not adding new proprietary stuff in the future.
