Why I pirated the game

Ok the reason I pirated was not because I could not afford it but because nobody in my family trusts the freaking internet with their credit cards so me being 10 can’t even buy it at a retail store yet.If this game has any different way to pay for it that doesn’t involve the internet I promise I will buy it but for now I am deeply sorry.

You need to be 18 to open a paypal account and most banks won’t give someone under 16 AP access.

No reason to be a D*** to him man.

Everyone was a kid once, you were too.
I can understand this, but that isn’t really much of an excuse, there are tons of Visa gift cards, and many other types of gift cards out there that your parents can buy you instead of using a credit card or a paypal account.

Tell them a visa gift card would only cost them like $10, and it would be the exact same as buying something online with a credit card but you’re not using the credit card.

If he’s from Europe we’re generally discarding creditcards(as we can see what has happened to America due to these things).

We prefer normal wire-transfer and us dutchies love (iDeal , some electronic payment) that being said, you can open a Paypal account and lie whether your 18 or not.

If not, search for a friend and link your paypal account to your bank-account and your good to go.

We can see who you are. Your name is right there, to the left of your post.

This right here.

If the kid is 10 as s/he says, s/he’s not likely to know about the vagaries of disposable credit cards, direct debit, paypal, visa, wire-transfer etc.
At that age there is normally one option - ask the parents. In this case said parent(s) seem to not be willing to oblige for any whatever reason.
Frankly I’m impressed s/he could figure out how to pirate it, though I’d guess a relative showed them.

dbzman24 - Good on you for admitting it. On the other hand, I realise this is difficult, but could you not wait to play it until you had a means of buying it? It may be years down the line, true, but the game will still be there. Go download some abandonware in the mean-time - there’s tons of it out there and you can do it with a clean conscience. You’ll probably love the original XCOM game - UFO Enemy Unknown (I did at about 12-14, though it was in stores and I could buy it with cash).

I don’t get it how to send private messages…
So do you still need the game dbzman24?

can i get a dev in here to let me know if i could sned s/he my download link ik its not any better than pirating but i kinda feel bad that s/he’s parents dont trust the internet therfore making it impossible to get full version and enjoy this amazing game, just think in a few years when your next game comes out h/she might be old enough to get full version of your next game

I’ll just wait for the game I guess.Anyways I wish GreenHeart the best of luck and hopefully I’ll be able to play this game in the future.

Nah I’m just going to wait for the game to come out hopefully in retail.

just send me an email to dbzman24@lania.de - and write something in the forum and the same in the mail, so I can be sure it’s you

Commendable.
Actually, if you’re finished with the game and delete it and delete your own copy etc, I don’t see how that’s different from selling a used game. I ended up “owning” four copies of SpaceChem through bundles (plus a direct purchase before the bundles); I’ve “given” two to friends.

Haha, I’m not used to this forum software :-).

I know it can be annoying to read, but I guess it’s something I do on all forums
