I can hear it now “We just poured our heart into Game Dev Tycoon and you’re already asking for a new one?”
I don’t mean to sound pushy I’m just curious what else you guys have in store.
I think most of us want to know what’s happening next
Although would be great to have some kind of story based game or a good well thought out tower defence game.
U should do a poll or something if you are undecided.
We are quite keen to start on our next project but there is still a lot of work to be done to make Game Dev Tycoon cross-platform and to get the ARM (Surface) release finally ready. Unfortunately this takes much more time than anticipated.
What exactly our next game will be is not clear yet and once we’ve started it will be a while before we can announce anything (Game Dev Tycoon took us a year).
We are definitely open for suggestions and ideas and it would be great to hear what other players long for

Tower defence games are interesting but I always find them too straight forward. I personally would like to see more tower defence mechanisms in normal strategy games.

The best Tower Defense game I’ve come across is a mini-game in Dwarves!?. Along side the regular towers, the map is not fixed, meaning the baddies will tunnel their way towards your base in the most direct route they can find.
You can however create your own tunnels, and they’ll follow those instead. Of course, digging tunnels costs gold that you could otherwise spend on towers, so you can’t make long complex tunnels else you run out of cash for even your first tower.
I want to play this game already.
