Ive found shaking things up, like doing contract work brings in the cash if you have the team and time for it.
shift the game creation around more of one thing less of another,
Developing sequels to your old games brings in a LOT of money as well
I just found out sequels sell well as long as they are spaced. Otherwise they complain you are just rehashing the same game.
The way i do it is
New Game, Contracts, Game Contracts, New Game, New Game, Contracts, Game Contract, Development work, Sequel, rinse and repeat.
MMOs are a pain, you have to watch your maintence costs, ive had 3 in the past with 4 Xpacs and the maintence gets anywhere from 5 to 30 million a month, if its in the red all the time, take it off the market.
Develop a console every 5 years, im up to Console Gen XY which is my 4th console
I’ve been following these rules, seems to be a solid plan. I just started simultaneous MMO’s, seeing how it works out
