Ultimate Table Collection

I’ve been working for several days now on a definite compilation of all the important tables in the wiki. The wiki, unfortunately, does not provide a printable version of their pages, which is especially annoying for people like me who don’t like to Alt-Tab all the time. Besides, the tables are spread out on several pages and they are usually accompanied by a lot of explanatory text, which is good for newbies, but bad for people who know how the game works and who just need the raw data and the basic rules. The PDF file which is currently posted at the end of the Game Development page of the wiki is, IMHO, a little bit lacking (no offense). Therefore, I’ve decided to make my own collection of tables.

Some goodies which aren’t on the wiki include:

  • Numerical values and the plain tendency values (++, +, -) have been unified where sensible. No more switching between the Game Development and raw data pages of the wiki!
  • The optimal genre T/D ratio is now always given, in every table which makes use of genres.
  • The tables dealing with platforms have been significantly improved. They now also include the release and death dates.
  • The employee training table is now an actual table.

So now you can download a quaint “deluxe edition” of the Wiki’s tables in one big package:

Version 1: http://www.mediafire.com/view/?6a6mq7sqrs7bx0j
Version 2 (the latest): http://www.mediafire.com/view/?hc739ya2uvqx4h6

Currently it’s eight pages. However, it’s also possible to print it on four pages if you don’t mind that everything becomes rather small. Just instruct your Adobe Reader (or Acrobat) to vertically arrange two pages on one sheet of paper each, and print in horizontal format.

Given the amount of data, it’s obviously possible that some mistakes occured during my work. If you spot any, just post in this thread or write a Private Message to me, whatever you prefer. Also, if you think that a useful table is missing or if you have suggestions concerning the structure, style or format of the tables you may utter your concerns as well.

I have updated the PDF with two other tables: One for the tech level and one for the topic/audience combination, which should be especially interesting to anyone toying around with the review algorithm.
