I think that you could cause timeline-changing events, leading to different things happening then what really happened. For example:
The question-
Hey Boss, some people think that you should’ve put more hidden bonuses in insert game name here! Others think you should make a bonus world. Which will you do? Hidden Bonuses!Bonus world!
Answer 1 message-
Yes, boss, they will happen now.
Answer 1, date of Wuu-
After failing to release a next gen console, Ninvento failed to pull out anything the fans like more then the competing gaming console brands. Ninvento has filed for bankruptcy.
Message(happens 2 months before G64 leaves shelves)-
I’m starting to feel that I should make new software. It will be costly, but it will be good. The failing Govodore could even save themselves with this! If we make this, all companies can benefit! Make the software!Nah, they don’t need it!
Answer 1, date Govodore goes bankrupt-
It seems Govodore has pulled out better content. The G72 features an extending secondary screen with mouse hook-up to multitask, a nice smooth keyboard that has round buttons instead of other PC’s square ones, and it hits next month.
Answer 1, a week after Super TES is released-
It seems the G72 is topping all other PC makers. The old PC’s are failing fast. Most PC makers filed for bankruptcy. The PC will be leaving the shelves in a month.
These events seem somewhat ungainly. In general, I do like storyline branches. The main character is a time traveler who drove their Delorean back to the dawn of gaming, yes? It would make sense if they could change the way things actually went.
There’s been discussion in other threads about doing things like saving the Dreamcast by releasing a lot of major hits for it.
