Firstly, what did I press? I dropped my keyboard and when I caught it, Discourse’s interface changed. Now I can see the summary lines for pinned topics.
Don’t get me wrong, I like the new look, but I would like to know which keyboard shortcut I accidentally activated, if any (I admit, I may have just hit F5 and caught a software update).
Finally, I’ve asked this before, but can we set the categories view as the default view? If it can be done on a per-user setting, where is that option?
On your first point, I never saw it any differently. For me, the summary always had shown up for the pinned topics.
Well, always is a relative term, didn’t get the game and find the forum until two days ago!
Discourse offers live updates via AJAX, so I don’t press F5 very often to completely reload the site (I also leave my browser window open for weeks at a time ).
