The Retro Games!

I Haven’t found any topic for Retro Games, so I thought, that I will create one!
So what are Your favorite retro games? Do You have any now?

I am not from 85’s - 95’s (the retro years), so I know about those games only from internet, and I have an NES and Nintendo64 Emulator and I have played some good games, thought It’s not the same expirence whe n playing original Super Mario Borthers for NES, which I have played.
I have completed SMB, but using warp zones and YouTube (I had problem with world 8-4), so It was a bit cheaty, but I did it! Also I was in “The Minus World”!

My favourite retro games:

NES: StarTropics
SNES: Super Mario World (the first video game I ever played)
N64: I haven’t played many games for it, but I guess the Zelda games are pretty good
PS1: I only played 1 game for it and that was Spyro :stuck_out_tongue:
PS2: Not really retro, but my favourite game for it is Final Fantasy X

Btw I only included exclusives  There are better N64/PS1/PS2 games out there IMO but I played them (Half-Life, Star Wars etc.) on PC.

SNES: Aladdin. (super mario world was my first game too)

N64: tough to say but either Diddy Kong Racing, or Pokemon Stadium.

PS1: Twisted Metal series (played a ton of games but I was never good enough to finish Crash or Spyro but they’re on my top games list)

PS2: Max Payne

What about gameboys?
There were many hits on gameboy.
I think my favourite for gameboy would be Pokemons Red & Blue.

Even though I had a GameBoy, GameBoy Color and Advance SP, I never had that many games for it…

I would have to say the pokemon series is my favorite for the gameboy systems… More accurately, Pokemon Yellow and Pokemon Ruby.

Does Pajama Sam count as a retro game?

Wasn’t it released in 1998?
If it does, then… not too much.
Also The PS 2 games aren’t so retro yet.

Didn’t have a gameboy but on SNES there was a game called Uni-cycle or Uni-racers something along those lines that was awesome for it’s time the gameplay and graphics might hold up if it was released again.

I think I have the right name but you did tricks and raced a Uni-cycle just the bike no rider around these striped tracks was pretty fun.

I don’t think PS2 games count, because it was just discontinued production either 1 or 3 years ago.

They discontinued since 2009/2010 or so and even before then, games weren’t being ported to the ps2 because of the hardware limitations.
It’s been around since 2000/2001 and we’re already on the PS4…

So it shouldn’t be another year if that for the PS2 to be called retro…

Ninten-d’oh
While i’ve never really got into it, i have played these games on the actual consoles. They’re pretty awesome.
NES: Castlevania III - That game brings so many memories
SNES: Super Ghouls and Ghosts - I love me some terrifyingly difficult games
Gameboy: Pokemon Blue - OHHHHH
N64: Pokemon Snap - Please dont kill me

Sega Does Not What Nintendoes
I’ve never been really a fan of Sega other than Sonic, but yeah!
Master System (and Game Gear!): Sonic Chaos - Yup! One of the oldest system in my attic.
Genesis: Sonic 2 - THE MEMORIES
Saturn: Sonic 3D Blast - While the Saturn wasn’t that great, it does have one sonic game i remember
Dreamcast: Sonic Adventure - This list is all sonic.

Sonny Forelli
Well, what do you want more? Playstation!
PS1: Castlevania: Symphony of the Night - Yeah, Castlevania again.
PS2: GTA San Andreas - I don’t count it as a retro, but i still like it.

No…
I hope It’s the only game You’ve ever played on Saturn, and thats why it is Your best.

Seriously though that game was top notch for the console it was created on. Albeit being pretty bad, it is still a good game nontheless.
