One thing I did notice about the game which may have been mentioned earlier but I wasn’t able to find a thread; the poor boss never gets vacation. The guy is a real trooper. He’s just always at his desk, 30+ years in a row! From basement to glorious business suite, this guy plugs away making whatever games you imagine up without ever knowing what it’s like to spend his hard earned dollars on a cruise, nice house, etc.
Don’t worry, he will retire at 35 to a Tropical Island
Just curious… How old is @PatrickKlug?
Also in a 30 year game, assuming the Player starts the company aged 15, they’ll be 45 by the end of the game… so even without a vacation, they won’t be retiring at 35. Or do they continue to turn up at work despite being retired? Perhaps they never learned how to make decent coffee at home…
He probably starts at 25. Fresh out of college. Or at least that is what is seems to be.
Rise of the Clones
Also the boss prolly doesnt work and just sits at his desk surfing the interwebs all day
What, you think the staff only makes games? Please. They’re emptying out the Boss’s pee jar and serving him food.
Lol don’t mention that to Patrick he might get ideas
While we’re on the subject of funny ideas for patrick… along with the higher security, better computers, solar panels and air conditioning request events…can we get an event requesting you supply the whole company with dandruff shampoo to stop all that damned head-scratching?
Lol haha, so true
Next week’s announcement: Dandruff shampoo DLC
This is the only job in the world where employees can waste an entire week’s pay just by one single scratch of their head. I’M NOT PAYING YOU TO MONKEY AROUND!
As an alternative suggestion, instead of a headscratch, have your employee’s monitor screen change to a site that clearly has nothing to do with making a game, a faux reddit, or facebook. I can see an employee wasting time futzing around on a non-work related website… kinda like I am now. I should get back to work
This is a good idea.
A beer helmet/hat would get rid of that slloooow coffee sipping too.
The coffee sipping doesn’t interrupt productivity. And is a nice inclusion.
“A programmer is nothing but a machine that turns coffee into code”
It does slow em down a little but you are right it is a nice inclusion. You never had em take a sip right before a game was finished?
How about an alternative edition, that appeals to most todays youths (well from what ive seen anyway) when instead of employees sitting their scratching their heads, they’re sat their, looking bored, scratching their balls!
If it makes them work quicker =)
And for your female employees?
I was joking I don’t really want that.
