I just- finally- beat Game Dev Tycoon yesterday, after using a strategy that made me start off terribly and gradually improve instead of starting off fantastic and trying to stay that way, which I must say worked in my favor. I even got the illusive 4 10s score and the achievement, on my 5th to last game.
Anyways, after beating the game, researching everything and making my second custom console, I was hit with a strange thought. I’d love to see a Movie Creator Tycoon using this same kind of format. You work as part of the production crew of a small time Indie film company and work your way up to becoming a huge Hollywood kind of company where towards the end you can hire big A-List stars to act in your film, where as at the beginning you could only scout for new talent. You could research new film techniques and formats, as well as hire actors. The only solid ‘crew’ you would have is yourself, a producer and director, as well as some other smaller role people. The actors would change each film, but once you’d used one, they gain experience much like the ‘graphics’ did in Game Dev Tycoon, so the more experienced you are with working with that actor, the better they can perform. Know what I mean?
